Because of their own selfishness! THEY decided that having dinner with their friends was more important than providing a safe environment for their child! I have pmenty of compassion and sympathy for the child, but not for the parents who just wanted to have fun.

Pretty much nothing happenned to them. I think the mom left the FDA and was able to get a job in the private sector and not sure about Christophe. Pretty amazing when you think about it.

The mom is an expert in her specialized field... highly desirable candidate for any private Pharma company. her skill set is valuable, why wouldn't she be able to get a job? because she made a mistake years ago?
