| What in the hell is wrong with people. Just saw on WTOP that 2 parents left their 2 very young children in their car to go into a private wine tasting at Ris last night. It was so cold last night! Go to the grocery store and buy a bottle and go home with your kids you terrible, terrible people. |
They should have just dropped them off at a park in Silver Spring.
|
| That's really horrifying. |
| Wow, how stupid and selfish can some people be? Have they never heard of a baby sitter? |
| Both kids were under two!?! How can two people come together and make such a blatantly horrid decision? |
| Do you think they are alcoholics? |
| In fairness to the parents, they probably needed the kids to handle the steering wheel on the way home. |
they would find two others to be friends with for sure! |
I thought the same thing. This goes well beyond poor judgement. |

The comments on that article (I know, I know, never read the comments) ... someone says "Those children won't be better off with CPS; they need to be given to either set of grandparents immediately."
Ummmm, you do realize that the grandparents raised those winner parents, right? |
At what point do we stop blaming parents for the mistakes their kids make and start holding people accountable for their own lousy choices? If you raise your kid not to rape women or drink and drive (or whatever bad behavior you want to insert) and they grow up to do it anyway, will you go to jail for your kid because you raised them? Or will you be shocked that your child made a choice counter to the values you raised them with? Everyone is responsible for their own choices. Some people get a better foundation than others but ultimately it's still their choice to behave badly. |
NP here. I think PP means that the whole family is probably messed up if the parents of these babies would make the choice they did. It's unlikely the babies would be better off with grandparents who raised such spectacularly stupid, ignorant, and selfish people as the parents are. |
| I'm speechless. |
| OMG: Yuppie parenting fail. |
