McLean leaving FVU

ECNL did not sign off on this un-merger and killed BRAVE off itself one year ago - why would they not do it again?

BRAVE is geographically challenged - it is surrounded by clubs with better fields and better access to freeways. No one from anywhere outside of Fairfax City wants to drive to Robinson or Woodson during rush hour as the fields are nowhere near I66, 395 or any other roads you can possibly travel faster than 30mph.

So ECNL will be good with 2 ECNL teams for Nova? Or are they adding GFR to be the third? Nike Park is super convenient.

Are those MYS fields? Will FVU be able to keep them next season?

Those are MYS fields, off limits to FVU now. Little known fact: MYS has the best fields per capita in the DMV.

Using Revolution’s slogans now. How the mighty have fallen.

This is going to 400 pages by tomorrow. Keep it up guys let make this thread trending . MYS got GA aspire! Let us go!!

2 ECNL teams is plenty (it's really 4 if you count NVA and VDA).

If they play aspire and do well they will get promoted to GA tier 1. Who is willing to take the challenge and help MYS get its mojo back?

Not only are the McLean girls going to stay at FVU… the ECNL-RL McLean squad and Pre-ECNL youngers will make a mass exodus.

You think they will leave MYS GA for other RL teams?

You mean MYS Ass-pire?

(GA+Aspire)>(RL+NCSL)

Really? Ass-pire was just created yesterday. What other ass-pire teams are there for MYS asspire tonplay? Is there a SYC ass-pire team? Will there a Loudoun ass-pire team? Let the ass-pire league at least get a second team before you claim it’s better.

Call it what you want, but all the local GA clubs have 2nd teams, and they're on par, if not better than almost anything in NCSL.

But you go ahead with your (non) witty puns.

Oh my someone’s ass-parations got hurt. It’s not that impressive to be on par with an ncsl team.

It’s 4 now including those two. But nva is gone as well. So pp is claiming that ECNL will not look to have a team in Loudoun or Fairfax county once they kill FVU as he proposes.

Vienna & Tysons fields are similarly accessible, near 66 and 495. FVU teams practice here too. They are only once a week at McLean so nothing much will change with regard to field access.

With 5 GA teams, up from just 1 only this time last year, there just isn’t a need for another “elite” team, but that doesn’t mean ECNL won’t try.

ECNL is not betting on FVU - there is no relationship there without McLean. ECNL could take of the remnants of NVA and staple them on to GFR, for example. Great way to strike back at Loudoun.

Don’t disagree. There are 7 “elite” teams this year and two of those are non-competitive. Should be fun throwing one more into the mix.

Fairfax county doesn’t exist without McLean? It’s more like McLean as we knew it doesn’t exist anymore.

Your post doesn't make sense, take the remnants of NVA?!? and staple them onto GFR. Did you mean FVU and not NVA

Maybe FVU can combine with Valor.

I can see GFR as part of a play. Their girls teams are as good as anyone’s in nova (certainly better than BRYC and Vienna) until they get close to ECNL age when the players leave for ECNL clubs.
