Yet another GOP shutdown?

Are they going to make another vote attempt by tomorrow or has Musk already decided that he’s keeping the government closed?

They apparently didn't bother to check in with any democrats on this plan even though they will need lots of democratic votes to pass it.

Jeffries has come out against it. Hopefully he holds.

No, there's no reason for Jeffries to shut down the government. He's not the problem.

I'm still wondering why the Dems wouldn't use this to shutdown the government. Musk just handed it to them. If they were better strategists, they'd do something with it. But of course, there's no Fox News pundits giving them a playbook so they're just gonna be dumb and dumber when it comes to using strategic opportunities.

They are claiming to try a vote in an hour.

Hey look at what’s no longer in the bill that the guy who manufactures cars in China hated.

New CR: great for oligarchs

Is Trump so demented he doesn't realize Musk is the defacto president elect right now?

Mike Johnson is toast. He’s a loser who has no spine. There is no longer checks and balances anymore . President Musk is in charge of the executive and legislative branch. He will soon be telling the Supreme Court how to rule. This is so sad and not what our founding fathers intended.

This is what the MAGAs voted for.

The Republicans don’t care about the founders. They just like to say they do for propaganda. All they care about is power.

Trump ran to stay out of prison. Everything he said was just to get maga world jacked up. Now he is president he can do what he wants. I seriously doubt he will pardon the Jan6 th’ers. Why? There is nothing in it for him.

They took out the PBM reforms? Does this mean that I have to watch those commercials for another 3 months until this CR expires?

Jeffries already had a deal with Johnson and the more sane Republicans to keep the government open. Elon, Trump and the less-sane Republicans have blown up that deal. If they want the government to stay open they either need to change course or back down or make some concessions to win back the Democrats. A shutdown isn't Jeffries' doing, and its not the Democrats job to fix it when they aren't the ones who broke it.
