The amount of attention Democrats at all levels focus on transsexuals is certainly one factor contributing to the blow-out.

For your information, some people (people with rights, by the way), are transgender, not - as you put it - “transsexual.”

And yes, certain transgender folks seek out gender-affirming, medical care. But that is an entirely private matter between them and their doctor!

While it may be important to you this is a fringe issue irrelevant to the majority of voters. They have bigger fish to fry. They really don’t care about you any more than you care about them and their concerns and their are far more of them that you.

More than a fringe issue. People did care about men playing and dominating women's sports: olympics, ncaa; amateur events; and many others.

DP. You never did the math, I did. There is a TINY number of trans athletes. There is literally a one-in-a-million chance of the average woman athlete even having to compete against someone biologically male. That makes it an extreme fringe issue. I'm not saying it's right that biological males should be allowed in competitive sports with females, but that it has been grossly overblown and politicized. And, this is something that rightly should be addressed by NCAA etc, not through this. And now we're going to have to deal with the disaster of everything else that came with your choice on trans athletes.

Changing Title IX to include gender identity is not a tiny issue. Having a transwoman in a high ranking position in the dept of health is not a small issue. Policing people’s language around gender is not a small issue. Placing men convicted of sex crimes in women’s prisons is not a small issue.

Reality matters. Facts matter. I’m not supporting a party that can’t deal with reality.

The democrats should have held a primary and let the people chose their candidate, but I don't know how they could have done it fast enough. There wouldn't have been time to campaign. Biden should have been forced out of office sooner.

I also think she appears too weak on the world stage and that's not because she is a woman or POC. The border crisis hurt her. Also talking out of both sides of her mouth regarding the Israel/Hamas situation didn't help and running different ads about that based on constituency made it worse.

She also made a poor choice for VP. He lies too much, is too far left and does not project competence. I think she would have had a better chance with Shapiro. I would have preferred to even see Shapiro running for president.

The irony is that wealthy and privileged democrats are not negatively affected by far right policies. If anything, my investment portfolio will go up even more. I can afford good healthcare for myself and my family, even if I think the prices are absurd. So, I guess, good luck to those who think Trump will solve all their issues. I’m going to mentally check out. I will show up on election days to check the D boxes, but I’m done caring otherwise.

Biden deserves the blame. If he were decent, he would’ve stepped down a year ago when the bus truly left the station and he was full blown senile.

He really wanted to win a second term knowing he isn’t running the country or competent enough to do so. And people say Trump is the one with the blood lust for power. Trump would never mistreat Vance the way he has Kamala. Trump obviously was thinking about the future and his legacy by choosing someone as young as Vance and someone as smart/Ivy League educated like Vance. This, overwhelming percentage of Latinos in this country doesn't use or like the term. NYTimes reported it's something like 4-6% that support the term. Maybe start calling people but what THEY think they should be called.
