Manchin, ducking over America for what? How much is he getting paid? How much would these bills help his crappy state? And why do sociopaths cheer him on in this? Must be nice for Republicans to have not one but two turncoats in the Democratic Party helping to stop any and all progress no matter how many millions of Americans voted for it.

I'm cheering him on because the supply chain is f**ked up, inflation is at a 30-year high, gas is crazy expensive, and food prices are at record levels. How about the progressives focus on policies that are not guaranteed to increase those numbers with free unearned cash sent to pockets of people not working, never working, and won't be ever working again if this bill passes?

THIS!!! Thank you!!!

Honestly, he seems to be the only one asking serious questions about the economic impact of the bill. The rest of these people are like crazed toddlers stuffing all of their pet projects into the bloated pig of a bill.

Its a horrible bill. I think they are trying to use Covid as an excuse for all of these crazy new entitlement spending projects. The child tax credit in particular has got to go.

Agreed. Its got all the f**king entitlements in it. One I could take. But all of them at once with sky-high inflation? Nope.

Not to mention amnesty for illegals..... something the Parliamentarian said could not stay. Guess they are hoping to slip that through anyway.

That’s their plan. Pack a whole heap of extreme leftist unpopular crap into an enormous bill that “we’ll just need to pass to find out what’s in it”. (Was it Pelosi who said that?)

Good luck with that.

“In the House, a small group of moderate Democrats are privately warning they aren’t ready to back Biden’s broader bill on the floor this week.”

And poor Jayapal. She talked herself into a corner and now is trying to dump the mess at Biden's feet. That isn't very nice. Unfortunately for her she has no idea what's coming for her when a President with Senate experience of 50 years decides he doesn't like someone with 3-years in Congress trying to deep-six him.

Can you give us a sneak preview?

Hell no, I'm just going to watch this mess continue to unfold with snacks and chips.

Ooops. CBO score could take weeks.

Well, then we should be prepared for the GOP takeover of the House and Senate, where will will get more anti-Choice judges, more racism, more sexism, dirtier air and water and a Trump in the White House in 2025; we will live the rest of our lives under Queen Ivanka before Barron Baron takes over.

Is there any kind of deadline or this all can drag on as long as they want?

Well the CTC expires on December 31, 2021. Once its gone - its gone. There's no way they'll get that re-upped, I still don't know how they slipped it in in the first place.

I mean...they were already on shaky legs on Thursday with the bill as is and then as soon as Biden got on a plan Sanders and Gillibrand tried to get more add-ons. If I was Manchin I'd be frustrated too.

Oop - no BBB without drugs

If this whole $hitshow isn't a prime example of why all kinds of disparate items should not be lumped into one gigantic omnibus bill, I don't know what is.

I can’t remember what the number is but the House can’t afford to lose more than 3 or 4 votes or the bill won’t even pass their chamber. That drugs letter had 7 Congressional signatures by itself.

Actually it has 15 - I missed the second page.
