What’s going on with the two bills?

I can’t remember what the number is but the House can’t afford to lose more than 3 or 4 votes or the bill won’t even pass their chamber. That drugs letter had 7 Congressional signatures by itself.

If the GOP wasn't a disaster of a party from a policy standpoint that uses the filibuster as a cudgel, they wouldn't need to pack everything into one bill.

The minority in the Senate always uses the rules to their advantage and both sides have done it repeatedly through the years.

So where's the PP who insisted this was coming to a vote on Election Day - that they had it ready - that it was coming - no stopping the Dems now!

I am wondering what would happen if Youngkin wins next Tuesday. More pressure on the paasage of infrastructure bill or no impact?

Well it should have been passed on Thursday when Biden was in the air. Pelosi and Biden both met directly with the progressives and begged them to let the infrastructure vote through. Nothing.

When Youngkin wins on Tuesday - they can look sad and shocked all they want. Youngkin passed McAuliffe the day after Congress's crap.

Dem voter turnout is down in no small part because the Biden administration has done nothing for us to be excited about!

Inflation at 30 year high. Bungling our own signature infrastructure/social spending bill(s). Gas is insanely high. A supply chain logjam. Their answer to all these problems is that its "transitory." Which is code for, "it'll work itself out."

Manchin is the only one who brought up this betrayal. Thank you Manchin.

It’s appalling to see the depths to which the GOP has sunk. You guys are just awful, awful people.

Go cry to Biden about it. Oh that’s right? He’s gone.

All politics are identity politics. You don't think White Americans are voting for policy, do you??

Drop the social welfare bill and refocus Congress on inflation, food prices and the economy. Now.

I suppose they might be, because they've been forced to vote on identity grounds by the rise of racial identity politics. The warning was there long ago, if the progressive left turn politics into racial grievances, then white voters will start feeling compelled to to vote on identity grounds. It's interesting to see that it's acceptable for non white racial groups to embrace identity politics but it's terrible and supremacist for white voters to do that.

Can't have it both ways, as we're learning.
