Just you wait til November. Women will not forget.

Women have sons, brothers, and fathers, too. No woman wants her male family member destroyed over stuff like this.

Exactly. -A Woman

I looked at my beloved son today, and thought, if you ever so much as disrespect a woman -- let along sexually assault her -- you're toast. So no, most women aren't just sitting around holding up the patriarchy.

I will not tolerate my son behaving like Brett.
And no one is being destroyed! No one died here, as the father of the Parkland victim who was snubbed by Brett so painfully reminded us on Twitter.

This means they have the votes to confirm.

Game over.

They don't have the votes. But the sooner they vote on him, the sooner they can move on to the next one. Waiting won't improve things for Kavanaugh.

How do you know they don’t have the votes?

I'd like to know the answer to that question too. I don't like the man, and I detest Trump, but I'd vote for him if nothing changes between now and tomorrow. I don't see how they won't make it.

It’s a 100% certainty they have the votes and he will be confirmed tomorrow.

I believe fully and wholeheartedly she is lying.

Well she did lie about flying. Supposedly she didn’t want to come to DC because she would have to fly. Turns out she flew to DC in the summer to see family in Rehoboth and has flown to many destinations around the world

I completely believe the assault occurred, but she has no evidence of who did it. The fact that she fell apart for the remainder of high school and two years of college never raised her parents concern or that of a Holton-Arms Arms counselor. People of her SES would have had her at a shrink.

I know - why??

you are applying current UMC parenting from now to back then. Back then no one was dxed with anxiety. Parents didn't take kids to a shrink for falling grades. That was the 80s. Very different time.

What about Holton’s Counselors. When I was there in the late 1970s they were focused solely on girls doing well and getting into top colleges. If Blasey had problems, they would have sussed them out.

Manchin isn't a Yes. They don't have the votes.

Someone needs to figure out who is pulling Graham's puppet strings.

But this is not over. It’s not 1991 anymore.

Source? I heard the opposite.

- NYT Editorial. Biased source you might say, but in this instance, I completely agree with them.

One thousand percent.

He came in basically saying, "I deserve this appointment and waa waa you're trying to take it away from me." Petulant and entitled.

My sense, too. He really has an arrogant, entitled air about him. “I got into YLS!”

He has been wrongly accused of horrible acts. He is not going to be calm and dignified. He’s mad as hell at this crap. And, yes, I would be very contemptuous of the Senators who managed to turn this hearing into a fiasco. I do not blame him one little bit.
And, the NY Times? Full of crap.

I’m sorry but I don’t think he is innocent. I find his assertion comical.

So you’re willing to ruin a man’s career and reputation over an allegation? An allegation that is uncorroborated and mostly refuted?

I think there is evidence. Medical notes. Judge’s book.

I call BS. Many people are mad as hell about many things and rein it in for various purposes. You do not get to be where he is in life (albeit helped by a generous amount of privilege) without learning to control your emotions. He was presumably mad and wounded when he went on Fox News, and there he played the Catholic Choir Boy. When he found out that wouldn't help him much, he presumably took some tips from Coach Trump and went for a little more "authenticity" -- Wrongfully Accused Self-Righteous Man. I wasn't buying it and neither were most women.

I’m sorry but I don’t think he is innocent. I find his assertion comical.

It would be interesting if you taught your children to not disrespect anyone regardless of gender...but we know you will not....

Didn't someone say he is being blackmailed because he is homosexual?

Who's "we"? And how do "we" know what others are doing with their own children?
