I don't think I l saw this yet -- new info out of Israel shows the vaccinations are incredibly effective:

A lot of positivity in this article.

This article is a Valentine’s gift! Full of good news!

- our trusted friends, T-cells, are mentioned as being effective against the variants (antibodies aren’t the only game in town!)

- increasing evidence that vaccines not only prefect severe disease, but also greatly decrease transmission

- seasonality at play (and a good explanation of that being related to geographical latitude and the amount of sunlight, not temperatures)

- and these beautiful words: “But it seems more likely that the worst of the pandemic is behind us. COVID cases in the U.S. have been plummeting for weeks now, and the decline can no longer be dismissed as a reversion to the preholiday season mean.”

This is personal, but my aunt (66) and uncle (70) got their first doses today! Several of my co-workers who are in their 60s have gotten their first doses as well.

So great! I'm waiting for my ILs - both 70 - to get off the Ffx County waitlist for their shots. Probably still weeks to go, but let's keep it up!

Edit:
Found it.
Cases are still on the decline but the death rates are not (though there is usually a lag in deaths FWIU)

New York Times COVID Tracker is really easy to use:

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/coronavirus-us-cases.html

You can see the US as a whole, and can look at each state. Cases are in the decline!
