Of course. I dislike her so much. |
All of the candidates have histories that can be weaponized. I would say Benghazi is Rice’s biggest hurdle. This stock business is a nothing burger. Let’s open up Harris’ stock portfolio or any of the other candidates and they will all have invested in some stock that someone can complain about. The beauty of Rice is she has no voting record or legislative acts to pick apart. Regardless, her office was next to Biden’s for years. He knows the real Susan Rice and will either pick her or not. The rest are unknowns. |
Biden is not a fool, knows her ruthlessness would be turned toward him in a hot second if she and her team deemed it useful. He can't trust her, she won't be the pick. |
Yeah, I’m sure Kamala is a nice person, but her team and supporters are unbearable. They called themselves the “K-Hive” |
You can tell a lot about a person by their team and supporters. I refer you to Bernie Sanders. |
Interesting, this make sense. She’s been at the forefront of governors on race issues and seems like she’d be a good coalition pick. Lots of chatter about her now, starting to think she is the one. |
I think she’s No. 1 simply because she checks three boxes that seem to be mandatory requirements this year: Female POC Experience I also think she’s seen as a relatively safe, do-no-harm choice, in part because she has already been vetted. I don’t know that she necessarily brings anyone new to the table, but she’s not potentially polarizing like Rice. I think she’d be a good choice for AG if he decides on someone else for VP. |
Fingers crossed, I would be totally fine with this pick. I wonder if she simply dropped off the radar for a while due to the shutdown backlash. But the tide seems to have turned on that. |
Chatter all along has been Biden doesn't approve of open campaigning. I think from the beginning Whitmer did not really think she'd be the pick either. And, yes, she's definitely been busy. |
^^I'm skeptical she'll be the pick though. Only because I think it's a lot to ask of a governor to campaign during a pandemic when things are only expected to get worse. |
Still a lot of support for Bass despite the obvious problems:

Hmm. I am not sure I like this. Biden should pick who he can work best with and who can fill the role appropriately. |
Well Bass would probably be great in that sense. Her issues are electability-related not governing. |
Bass would be a terrible choice.
Biden really backed himself into a corner all but promising to pick an African American woman as VP. I don't think that many Democratic rank and file care about either the sex or race of the VP...it's mainly activists/politicos who care. Biden unnecessarily limited his choices. Going with a governor would have been much better. |
Obviously. Your IP is littered all over this thread. |
