Will be the best player in the state for the next two years.

If you can't appreciate how good #3 is, then I'm not sure it's worth explaining.

Langley #7 has 96, Langley #8 has 94…

Well, I doubt #7 and #8 are the hecklers. It’s usually losers who ride the bench.

FWIW, after last night #7 has 100 (4G) and #8 has 104 (4G/6A). Pretty rare to have two 100 point scorers on a team.

Agree it's rare, but also says a lot about the overall quality of goalies and defenders they faced all year.

agree, - nothing like padding your stats by hanging 10 points on crappy teams like Yorktown

why

AD's are anticipating thunderstorms this evening and making calls based not wanting to have to deal with delays and/or cancellations. Freedom/Gainsville and Indy/Briar games have already been moved to Monday as well.

Can we please talk about some teams other than Langley and Yorktown? And Indy? Damn.

Everyone has written off West Potomac. Can they beat Robinson? Can't find the film from the second game but sounds like it was tied at half.

Nobody should write off West Po. they had close losses to Langley, Robinson, and Madison are are very much on par with those teams. My prediction is that Robinson, Cosby, West Po, and Langley all have a good chance of winning states, and the other four teams will have an uphill road. The possible flaw with West Po is over-reliance on two players, but none of these teams are super deep. they have a great shot at being regional champs or potential state champs.

We’re you dropped on your head as baby? Take a look at Langley’s schedule and see who they’ve played.

I did. Plenty of weak goalies. Some even terrible.

if the goalies are so bad, why couldn't anyone besides Langley 7 and 8 score over 100 points?

Because there are a lot of average and really bad players in the VHSL.

I'd like to repeal this comment. My apologies. Having two players reach 100 points in the same season is impressive and rare no matter how you cut it. Congrats to them, and hope their success continues. Looking foward to states.

I can't believe (actually I can because it's DCCUM) that folks come on here and trash players for being successful. Well done everybody.

seriously? this year he was outplayed by at least three Langley players (3, 7, and 8) who return next year, and Langley is just one of many good teams in the state. Yorktown should focus on avoiding further embarrassment THIS year, not bragging about next year or the year after.

If 8 and 3 switched teams it would be obvious who the better player is

I’m not saying Yorktown doesn’t have a good offense but let’s be honest, Langleys is a lot better. Yeah it is impressive that those kids on Langley rack up points but it’s easy when all the kids are good. “Little wizard” is far beyond anyone in the state to be honestly and there’s a reason every team scouts him and sends doubles as fast as possible. Numbers don’t mean much, just watch the kid play and you’ll see.
