ahh, an Indy insider!! Thoughts on the below? Ive been saying this for two years when I first saw them play- the 2025s at Indy are better then the 2026s. It's a matter of flash vs. substance, Ill take substance any day. FWIW- I hear that they should have won the Briar game by more, it wasn't that close. Except a certain 26 tried to give the game away via questionable penalties? Not the 25s saving them, but the 26s hurting them? Can you confirm? |
Yes, the coach's kid takes after his father and is a 1st-rate a-hoile on the field. |
One more year, and both will be gone. |
6A favorites next year? |
Langley returns a lot on offense, Robinson returns a lot on defense and offense, anyone else who made a run bringing back a lot? |
Robinson's offense is going to struggle without 21. Who is back - 8 and 14? |
Concorde preview : Madison is nearly a brand new team next year- losing a lot of Sr starters from this year. The rising seniors are not great. Might be a rare down year for the Warhawks. Oakton will continue to improve as they have a good coach and some talented youngsters. South Lakes will improve but with the year they had - almost anything would be an improvement. Jokes aside SL will have a couple of kids who can play. Westfield and centerville will fight it out for the bottom of the division. The real question is can Chantilly overtake Madison to win the district? I think they can. Madison will have team that is younger and weaker Chantilly will come out with a pretty decent squad. Stay tuned |
Yorktown is only losing three starters and has a couple of big time underclassmen. Langley loses their whole defense but has a great goalie that will pick up some of the slack there. Those two should be the early favorites. |
Yes, two team race next year. I think Yorktown is the early leader unless Langley gets some defensive transfers. McLean, Herndon, W-L should be way down. |
In no particular order, Cosby, Robinson, Yorktown, and Langley, and even in a down year don't count out Madison. |
As much as I hate it, Indy has to be in there. |
I agree that Langley, Yorktown, Madison, Robinson, Cosby and Indy deserve to be in the discussion. anyone care to rank them, plus any team(s) I missed? |
I think you gotta factor in the state champs, too. I think only one or two person mentioned them last year as a potential contender. |
PP here - I agree. I left West Po off because their team was heavy with seniors, but obviously the returning players know how to win and none of the other six teams I mentioned are very deep, so West Po definitely belongs in the discussion. |
Lot's of seniors for WP last year for sure but they had several sophomores and juniors contribute as well. They will certainly be in the mix. |
