Who will be Governor of Maryland after Hogan?

I’d like him to run for County Executive and get Marc out if there. Craig is moderate by comparison. But he’d never win the Silver Spring/Takoma Park vote....he could win the gubernatorial vote though.

Craig Rice is a fool.

He’s not. He’s super smart and gets complex policy. Most of the Councilmembers don’t.

You forgot the /s. Some people might think you were serious.

It should not be difficult for Moore to win.

I really want to hear from the primary voters who chose Cox why they thought that was a smart thing to do.

I’m a Hogan voting conservative and you’re spot on correct for me. I won’t vote for anyone tainted with Trumpiness.

I'm registered as a Dem, but was happy to punch the ticket for Hogan (mostly bc I just found Jealous to be totally incompetent).

But NO WAY I'm voting for Cox.

I agree with this. I always felt that Cox had a strong chance based on the number of yard signs, street signs, bridge signs, etc. that I saw.. He had a lot of fervent supporters. I also saw people with signs waving at cars over 270

This governor election in November, better bring out the voters. We cannot be lax this year.

Cox had a much more visible campaign. He had many signs and I think he won based on name recognition. so far I’m extremely disappointed that it’s going to be Westmore, who is extremely poor candidate, vs. Cox.

The fact that Maryland is going to go from Larry Hogan to either Moore or Cox is downright depressing.

Just say you wished the old white guy had one and be done with it. Heaven forbid a black man who wants to build black wealth becomes Governor.

COX supporters look at the stats. Only a few 100,000 idiots voted.

Not PP but I'm pretty nervous about the allegations he has lied about his background. I hope he has a successful campaign--I'm a #neverTrump Hogan supporter--and I sincerely hope there aren't more things about to come to light that make him look dishonest. But I have sure seen that movie before.

If Trump can lie, grab women and say the quiet part out loud and STILL be elected President, I'm sure these allegations won't stop Moore, true or not.

Right, because that is where we are in this country with political discourse. If you don’t support a candidate of color you are a racist. Excellent.

A Rhode's scholar or a trumper...I can't decide which is worse!

This is not the burn you think it is. First, it’s Rhodes scholar not Rhode’s scholar; second, effing Ted Cruz went to Princeton and Harvard. Educational success is not really a litmus test for political candidates and whether or not they will be good at the position they are running for.

Lol they just went from a 50/50 toss up between Schulz and Moore to a 30 point loss for Cox to Moore. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Was this counting the fact that some Dems promoted Cox, thinking he’d be easier to beat? I’m a Dem and am furious they would pull this crap.
The Dem better win.

The Democrats didn’t promote the crazy segregationist AG candidate and he beat the normal Republican Shalleck with similar margins as Cox beat Schulz. This is the Republican Party.

It’s interesting to me that I was never going to vote for Franchot but I really thought he would at least be in the top two if not winning.
