Jennifer Aniston looks good in capris. Jennifer Aniston is in her 40's. Ergo, if I am in my 40's and wearing capris, I look like Jennifer Aniston!

No, the logic is that it's still possible to look good in certain clothes if you're very fit. Age in and of itself is not the barometer. Jennifer Anniston proves that. We use her as an example because you likely don't know my hot 45-year-old neighbor Jan.

Did all the frumps try to run her out of the neighborhood yet, because the DHs notice her and ask "why can't you be like her?" The DWs love that!

Why is every ad on this page now showing me capri pants?

Why on earth is anybody thinking about capri pants when it is snowing? Are you dreaming of Florida or something?

Anyone looks good in classic capris from Ann Taylor. And if you don't have pretty legs, then you should wear capris instead of shorts. Period.

Good thing no one gives a flying care what you think, OP. Look in the mirror.

Just posting to let you know Costco is carrying women's capris now! It is a double whammy of DCUM faves Costco and capris. Enjoy!

Because we don't care what you think.

Spring has sprung.

Nice to see this thread making an appearance in 2015.

If you really think short shorts on 50-somethings look better than capris, you need to have your head examined LOL

This: capris are the lesser of two evils. Capris may not flatter, but they're still a heck of a lot better than shorts on most 50+ women.

Unless you think older women should be wearing jeans all summer long, or maybe limit themselves to skirts like our grandmothers.

They are comfortable, and when some people reach a certain age, they could care less what you think about their looks.
Who cares if people choose to wear them.

Dear Queenie

your fashion advice has fallen on flat ears

the ladies of a certain age will continue to wear what they please, regardless of your advice and observations.
