Yep, that's it. I am fat and don't look good in capri pants, and that's why I think no one (fat or thin) looks good in capris.
Try again. I'm young, fit, 5ft7 and ~120lbs... and it's pretty likely I also look like shit in capri pants. I wouldn't know because I was a preteen the last time I wore them. I mean this as a friendly message, truly. It is not an insult to anyone's body type, it is the style of clothing itself that is horrible. If you adore your capris and think they are flattering, by all means, keep wearing them. I knew the message of my OP wouldn't be popular, but you've been warned. Out of the many people I saw today (of all body types), none was wearing the mythical flattering cut. |
| OP, can you please duke it out with the anti-short pro-capri brigade and let us know who wins? We'll be waiting, nude, for you to let us know. Thanks. |
| OP here- I'd rather see you nude than in capris. |
| i thought i looked good in capris. too bad. |
| OP please post a picture of yourself...then we can judge you bc Im sure you are not as great as you think you are. |
| OP, has it ever occurred to you that things like style are a matter or opinion? |
| If no one looks good in capris then why is this thread addressed to middle aged women? |
|
there are certainly (generally tall(er) and thin) people who look okay or even good in capri pants. But even they would look so much better in something else!
I've never looked at anyone in capris and been blown away by how cute they are. They're just generally not the most flattering choice. |
Awesome! That solves the whole heat problem. Hope the anti-short brigade agrees... |
Hysterical. Is OP the same person who writes these anti-capri pant tirades every month? Really, I can think of lots of things that look way more offensive on (most) middle-aged women than capris, starting with short shorts and mini skirts, moving on to wife beaters and tank tops with bra straps hanging out....I'm sure I could come up with more, but I don't care enough. Plus some women look good in all of these, no matter how old they are. Capris are cute on most people; better than shorts. And who cares anyway. OP, let's see your photo - I'm sure you've verrrry chic! |
Not OP, but I agree with her. Capri pants are not in style, nor is it likely they will ever be. They cut off the leg, making the wearer appear short and stocky. Shorts are better on most people, even those of us in our 40s, once we apply the self-tanner... |
Oddly enough, this description seems to fit all of the women of DCUM. Unless they are 5ft 9 and 105 lbs. |
|
^^ What would be the point of lying on an anonymous forum? I don't fit DCUM's main demographic (moms) because I stumbled across the site in a Google search.
Aside from that, my looks don't matter. I could be 5ft1 and 200 pounds and I'd still have the same opinion of capri pants. What would be the point of posting a picture of myself? To tell me that you don't think I'd look good in capris? I would agree with you! |
No to prove how ugly you are inside and out OP! |
| I think white Capri pants with a straight leg look great on slim women. I only like in white or black. Cropped black pants can be nice too on women with great figures. Jcrew Minnie and cafe Capri are two good options, but again you must be some what tall and slim. |
