The judge was publicly arrested because Pam Bondi and Kash Patel claim she caused a threat to Americans by obstructing justice and aiding a fugitive to flee resulting in a foot chase.

It turns out she directed the person to a public hallway where two federal agents were waiting.

So the point is the judge did nothing wrong and she didn’t make the decision on where/when the agents should arrest they arrest the guy.

The main point here is about how ICE was attempting to arrest him—not the existence of a prior deportation order. An administrative warrant, like the one ICE had, isn’t signed by a judge and doesn’t carry the same legal weight, especially within a courthouse.

Judges have the authority to challenge ICE arrests in their courtrooms when proper judicial procedures aren’t followed. That’s exactly what Dugan did. Now, she’s being charged simply for defending the basic integrity of the courtroom.

The type of warrant is irrelevant. The ONLY question is whether she violated the law. She cannot use the type of warrant as an excuse.

The entire point is that the type of warrant thay had is relevant to/determinative of whether she violated the law.

If you read the govt’s own complaint they rode in the elevator down with him so this whole charade about a foot race outside the courthouse is just manufactured nonsense.

It is almost as if they thought confronting a violent criminal in an enclosed space like an elevator was a bad idea. Possibly with other innocent people in the same elevator.

The point is she directed the guy from her courtroom to a public hallway (a perfectly legal and appropriate thing to do), two guys watched him in the hall, rode down the elevator with him and then suddenly he’s outside and they are chasing him?

But second, the reason people are calling this fascism is because they are literally kidnapping people who are here legally— like the guy with a pregnant American citizen wife who went in got green card interview and never left.

ICE is deporting people here who are following the rules because it’s easier for them. Does that make you feel safer or more privileged?

Is it your contention that the judge was aware that the agents were stationed in the hallway where the non-public juror door would exit? She had just met the arresting agents outside the main courtroom entrance and directed them to go speak with the chief judge.
