Elderly woman died after carjacking near WHC in NW this afternoon, SUV crashed

I LOVE that this woman is going to walk bc she is black.The whole thing is just so delicious, car jacking at a hospital, with a patients inside the car, crashes into Matt Graves office, patient dies and she does no time. This might be better than the kid who fired chopper indiscriminately in the street while being recorded and Mag judge says no pre-trial detention. So disappointed that judge reversed that- total racism.

She's going to walk because of a legal technicality, not because she's Black. Chill.

New poster. I was born in WHC. No, I haven't voted for any of the folks that brought us to this lawless precipice. This kind of crime getting normalized in DC is what's shocking. I am so sorry for the trauma of this woman and her family. 55! Any age, gosh. Has any public official made a statement of sympathy, support, and pursuit of justice in this matter?

The 55 year old woman didn't make a bad choice nor did she bring this on herself. The perpetrator is old enough to know right from wrong choices. Please stop giving her a pass because her life was "shattered by drugs". How about don't do drugs and you may not do crazy, erratic things like cause someone's death.

Crime must be addressed with punishment. That's why DC is like the wild, wild west right now. No one is afraid to get caught committing crimes, even heinous ones, because they know the punishment will be nonexistent or near nonexistent.

I don't like Brian Schwab at all and didn't vote for him, but he has nothing to do with this - it is a federal prosecutor that DC voters don't get to vote for - so all the DC voter bashing is not accurate here. We have no control over how cases against adults are prosecuted because we have no federal representation

Has anything that he has shown indicate that he would be any different? If anything, there is good reason to believe that if he was responsible for adult prosecution the situation would be worse because at least the USAO can attract top talent.

So, Hunter Biden didn't harm anyone or cause any damage due to his drug addiction, but he is still convicted of merely buying a gun and lying on the form saying he did not consider himself a drug addict. He is a convicted felon now and will likely be doing at least minimal prison time.

This woman stole a car, crashed it and killed another woman. And you think she deserves a second chance. Why do you think she deserves a second chance when Biden does not?

He didn’t harm anyone except his brothers grieving widow that he turned into an addict, his estranged children, etc, etc.
