How long does it take to decide to examine someone?

Since the 80s are laws have veered away from protecting the mentally ill from themselves, and protecting the public from the mentally ill. This needs to change. but for now, likely, 'a while'? ^

No, this does not. Mentally ill people that are not dangerous to others can be given more leeway. Mentally ill people who are dangerous, have injured or killed others or who cannot control violent tendencies, need to be kept away from the general public. I have no problem with committing them to facilities instead of incarcerating them, but it is not right to let them out in the general public where they are a danger to others.

But we have to let them kill someone first to know if they are violent. We need some volunteers for this service.

Colbert King was drawing connections between drug legalization and adverse affects on the most vulnerable in the community and then how that has domino effects on other unrelated people in the community who also suffer the consequences.

There was nothing odd or strange about it and if this girl is now mentally ill there is a good chance that her mental health was influenced by drug use.
