VRSC has beautiful fields but driving from Herndon to Raventek three-four times a week in rush hour traffic sounds soul-killing.

Exactly! Do tell angry poster what was the reason? Wasn't so bad since several teams and families have returned after being burned and scammed out of hundreds of dollars.

The girls teams who left to go to AC Milan got burned big time by the AC Milan scam. Didn't one team come back for spring?

Such a beautiful facility but not convenient from many areas during the evening rush. I'm fine being a guest when HYS plays them and enjoy all the facility has to offer.

2011 boys... One of the best coaches is suddenly out?! GT had that team developing and playing well...where is he now?

GT is an awesome coach. He is taking some time away from coaching to miss less of his own small children's activities. The club has already hired someone who seems wonderful and well-qualified.

We have had a player on the red 2011 boys team for several years and know most of the black team families as well. Both teams have been 80% the same group for years and its a nice group of boys with no bullying or issues. Both coaches kept their rosters smaller to give ample playtime to all the kids which prevents a lot of problems. I have not heard about any departures en masse to any other team for next year which you implied. Like any team I'm sure a few roster spots will turn over but it will be almost all the same boys next year.

It really seems like you have an axe to grind. We like our low drama club with nice families so not sure why you are so angry and keep coming back making up insinuations and rumors. Its bizarre.

Question about HYS… do they do a lot of guest playing within the age group if there are 2-3 teams? That’s been one nice feature of a larger club… multiple opportunities for extra play with a higher or lower team when they are short on players.

Yes, my kid is on a first team and we have had kids from the second team guest play in tournaments for the two years we have been with the program. some of the second team guest players from last year were moved up to the first team for this year.

My kid plays VRSC top 2011 team now and is returning for next year and I have not heard of any influx of Herndon kids. I know most of the roster for next year from the kids group chat and frankly there isn't space for more than a few mystery players.

Some are joining GA2/Aspire but not sure if the whole team is moving to VRSC. That team has been together for a long time.
