It’s impossible to find contact info for the league!

We’re also signed up for AAA and haven’t received team placement.

Is there a chance there won’t be a fall season?

It looks like Majors already received their team assignments but not AAA. Very odd.

Ask the lawyers why you haven’t received them!!

So, add another count of relatiatiion to the already long and painful document outlining all the ways this recreation sports league for children has gone terribly wrong?

This is absolutely our last season with NWLL.

My understanding is that the lawyers are the commissioners of AAA and in charge of putting together the teams.

Correct

So does that mean there’s extra scrutiny this time which is causing delays?

But I’ve never understood why the NWLL board permitted parents to pay for private lessons with the coaches. It seems to scream conflict of interest, but it’s been going on for years in plain sight.

Maybe because some of the coaches also need to make a living because they’re not law firm partners on the side. The little league coaches are volunteers, and if they’re good hitting or pitching coaches, why should they not give lessons.

I hear what you are saying, but it makes me question their motives for volunteering to Coach the team. They know most NWLL parents have $$$s so agreeing to a coach is not about the coaching and really an efficient vehicle to sell their services. I would rather that NWLL give parents the option to hire a paid coach for the entire team vs a “volunteer” coach trying to get their players to pay for private lessons.

Stop. The coaches in NWLL are largely just dads like in any other LL. They are there because they enjoy coaching baseball, spending time with their kids. One NWLL coach dad I know who was incredibly ethical, played everyone and limited his own son’s playing time to match everyone else’s says it was one of the best experiences of his life. There were shenanigans, yes, but it didn’t detract that much from the pure enjoyment of coaching and getting to know the kids. He didn’t have a winning team and it was totally fine. The kids had a blast and you could just feel his pure enjoyment doing this. Many are like this.

Lol no

Coaches/teams like that are used as punching bags for the dads who rig everything... Sorry, I got tired of watching my son lose games 16-0, 17-2, etc. to the commish and Ricky's teams, watching the umpires botch calls, make kids cry, tired of watching NWLL board members come on the field and argue calls, despite strict no-arguing rules... it was a system of rules for the rest of us so that some twisted dads could rig it. Not even their kids looked like they were having a good time.

100% and you know it’s true.

if that’s true I’d bet they’re encountering obstruction from the cheaters who are acting like they always do.

What?? Business as usual with same leadership??????? Is there no accountability for anything?

This has nothing to do with the families and boys/ girls mentioned or referred to as examples- it has everything to do with Ricky and cronies administrative handling of all of it. That is the only thing that needs to change. Oh and the board too. Fresh start for everyone.

+1 and get rid of the umpires. If they didn’t I’d be apparent in videotaping them at the games.

They’d lose their minds if you did that and probably eject your kids whole team or something bizarre. Based on our experience and the report those umps are basically on the verge of calling the game at any moment basically all the time and they aren’t afraid to just arbitrarily end the game when they’re tired or whatever.

There are insanely strict rules about interacting with the umps. I’ve seen them make kids apologize for crying after they botched call and the kid went back to the dugout in tears asking his coach what happened, on threat of being ejected for “arguing”. Parents and coaches basically aren’t allowed to question anything, unless you’re certain board members, the commish, Ricky or his friends and then you can march on the field in the middle of play to give the umpires a piece of your mind. Everyone else stay quiet.

One year my kid played the umps in some games would be wait for the commissioner that year to shout “ball” or “strike” before making their call. It was the most insane thing I’ve ever seen.

Games should be starting this week. Can someone post the dates and locations so we can see these umps in action?

Sounds very traumatizing

It’s a damn shame that these people set up the whole thing to get NWLL some press, isn’t the saying “There’s no such thing as bad press”
