this student loan issue will be a great disaster. biden knows he is stuck. we are about 3 weeks before payments are due again and everything is in limbo. there should be nothing forgiven, you signed on the dotted line and you are responsible. I unexpectedly became disabled and was offered a discharge in 2012 with a less than $4,000 balance on a $28,000 loan. It was approved, but the loan changed hands and was sold to Naviant. They told me I cleared the three year monitoring period. Somehow they mishandled the paperwork and reinstated the loan plus interest. There is no accountability.

Sadly, the Biden administration will never follow through on his student loan initiatives, just like the cancer initiatives. Ask me how I know. It's sad to take advantage of severely disabled cancer patients. It was all for the votes. Never trust a politician or the government.

Forgiving student loans doesn’t fix any underlying systemic issues, it’s just a naked attempt at buying votes. If Biden had any balls or an ounce of common sense he’d make student loans dischargeable through personal bankruptcy like every other form of debt. But guess why he doesn’t want to actually fix the problem? He’s been bought and paid for by commercial banks for the past 30 years.
