I think you completely missed the point. I wasn’t speaking only to vocational type jobs - most of which are very lucrative if you any amount of business sense.

75% of college/“university” education in the US is a complete waste of time. None of what these kids are learning helps them with their “college educated required” careers. And, that isn’t “gate keeping.” Nobody needs a college education to do most white collar jobs these days. You need to know how to operate a computer and not be an idiot. As it turns out, our education system seems to promote being an idiot and having a distinct lack of any critical thinking skills.

We are living in idiocracy. I’m wondering then the brawndo is going to show up in drinking fountains.

The most expensive instate public universities (highest instate tuition & highest average student debt among grads) are ALL in liberal Democratic states. NJ, PA, CT, ME, VT, RI, NH, MA and IL. Funny how that works!

What is this, autoadmit? It was 15 years ago. You do realize you can get money at “T14” schools, including LAW CENTER? You can also get a first year job at a place like Kirkland coming from the stench of a non “T14” school like American. You can also be a student associate if you have an engineering or science background, often having your tuition paid while working. It sucks, but it’s possible. All of these things still exist as they did when I was in school.

Thanks for the google tip though. I’m not already surrounded by all of this. Especially since I’ve been involved in recruiting the entire time I’ve been in the big law firm environment.

I don't hate capitalism. I'm thriving in it. I'm just saying that many Americans don't really want to do these jobs anymore. I've heard a number of people say this--in both blue and red states.
