Sorry, there are many HS coaches out there that also coach club teams and don’t disappear like that. Yes, HS team is a priority but they plan around it. That might mean shifting practice days and sometimes needing a practice or 2 covered. But don’t act like she was the only one doing it when everyone else makes it work.

It’s not like she didn’t know that team had a spring league when she took the role.

it was her prerogative to do so, and then regroup in summer. U don’t know what those other HS coaches schedules r. We get it, u did not get what U wanted, but the club was not negligent. Let it go, u r are going after a person well connected and regarded in the lacrosse community, so give it a rest.

Of course you can share your experience but don’t be dismissive of others for whom MC may be the best option. There can be a lot of growth and change, particularly for these HS girls who, btw, lost at least a year to COVID somewhere along the line.
This a great outlook.

U need to give it a rest. U don’t have a clue. Who cares how connected she is? Does it entitle her to ignore her team at practice? skip games and lie about varsity commitments? to not show up for an out-of-town tournament without saying a word? If that’s the case, I’d take a new coach who is not well connected any day. Having been on all sides, Next Level and Madlax are way better options. The ownership at least cares about their customers.

Why wasn’t her “prerogative”
Mentioned last year when she was highly marketed as the coach in order to get girls to pay. Bait and switch. Classic.
Every time someone at MC Elite posts it just makes it 100 times worse.

NP. We left MCE to go to NL, it is mediocre at best, just fine, not elite at all. She did not want to play in college, so we took a leap knowing they would be in fewer tournaments and not ones with the best competition. My daughter was not ready for HS at all. Regret our decision.

No need to take this out on NL. NL had at least one team in the NGLL with 6 wins. The entire MCE organization totaled 6 wins in the NGLL throughout multiple years and divisions.
3 of the 6 MCE wins came from the 2030's who left the organization as a team.

LOL, what did you expect from NL??? Not sure they're on here crowing about what a great program they have. NL is what it is. No one should expect much from them, especially at the HS level. Time will tell where they go, but to try and use NL as a way to prop up MCE is laughable.

From 3rd-8th grade, NL only has 3 teams in NGLL A division. Of those, only the 2029’s are a strong team. Yet there are not 20 pages of posts about it here because, as PP said, it is what it is. Whatever is going on in this thread is clearly deeper than wins and losses.

Non-emotionally charged question for former MC2030 parents who moved to YJ. What events are the girls playing in this summer?

MadLax—who can forget this gem? https://deadspin.com/hey-ungrateful-quitter-emails-from-an-angry-lacrosse-660703941

MadLax girls are just glorified rec, emphasized by the fact that their teams don't play in NGLL and do in fact play in a rec league.

Better question is what summer tournaments have room this late in the spring?

Teams seem to have 3-4 tournaments. List can be found under each team: https://www.yjsouthlacrosse.com/index.html
