VHSL Girls Lacrosse Spring 2023

I heard that the SSAS actually asked to play Oakton after Oakton beat them in Woodson League and Turkey Shootout. She was apparently looking for competitive public school opponents. I don’t think BI has typically done that, not in season at least.

SSSA played Yorktown, Madison, and Oakton. Potomac school played Yorktown and Madison. I feel like a lot of the posting about scheduling and private/public schools are disregarding this fact.

That was a scrimmage. Also, several key players were missing due to a DECA competition.

I think the poster’s point was public’s are trying to play and privates are arranging games. Ultimately, good for the sport in the area.

Thank you. Yes, that was my point.

I just have to say this board did not disappoint. This is everything people have been saying it is.

One thing is for sure BI is getting to crazy Dads. Battlefield coaches will be happy about them leaving.

They should just buy a bus and include the coaches in a daily commute to BI and back.

BI is clearly not what they once were and bringing these two girls in won't take them back to those good old days. PVI has displaced BI for the top VA school in the WCAC not even close.

Sounds pretty shady to me. Wondering what made them want to leave going into their junior year.. when the only recruiting that matters will be this summer through their travel team. And questioning their thought process about not informing coaches and teammates before making it public.

Bishop Ireton is equivalent to public school team these days.

Calm down now let's not get stupid here BI still beats 95% of VA publics by double digits even without a coach.

Right? My favorite is when those incapable of making intelligent arguments turn to personal attacks to compensate for their small … minds.
