It is so disturbing that Justin actually fits the mold of the "imperfect victim," not Blake.

He’s not your husband so who gives a shit?

And Blake isn’t your friend so why are you riding so hard for an aging dumb dumb who lied about sexual harassment?

Is JB not aging? Plenty of much younger better looking men who are going to take the leading roles he may have had a chance at. He's toxic now.

Not really- he has a massive fan base now. Way more than he ever did. Just go to all his fan pages on Reddit. If Blake wasn’t a psychopath, and none of this had happened, Justin’s career would have probably fizzled, but he could easily have a career of his choice after he is vindicated in all of this (which he will be). Mark this post so we can come back to it later when i am right.

Lol. His fans aren't going to make the movies. Look how many Hollywood types have been caught up in this. They have zero incentive to want to work with him.

He's not accused of rape. He's accused of calling actresses sexy on set, pressuring Blake to do a birth scene with simulated nudity without her prior consent or the involvement of an IC, adding intimate content to the script without consent of actors, talking about his past sexual history (including having sex with women without their consent) in ways that made Blake uncomfortable, etc. He's also accused of hiring a crisis PR team to attack BL online.

The question is not really even whether he did these things -- admits to most of them, and there is eyewitness testimony to others. The question is whether this behavior rises to the level SH and retaliation for SH. His defense is that these actions have been exaggerated or taken out if context, not that they didn't happen.

Well how do you decide if this was SH or if, I'm context, these were understandable or appropriate behaviors? Court case. So here we are.

Is it subjective? Yes. And I'm open to the possibility that a court or jury could deem this not SH. But this idea that JB has been unfairly attacked with false accusations has always struck me as bizarre -- he admitted to the vast majority of the allegations in that timeline he published early on. These are not invented allegations and to the degree these details are embarrassing for him, it's because of his own behavior, not a lie Blake is telling.

Plus we now know she wasn't the only one on set who felt uncomfortable. That tells us something about that set.

Comparing this to a loved one being falsely accused of rape is crazy. It's not like that at all. Who is exaggerating and ignoring important content now?

His new fan base is the type of person who becomes obsessed with a celeb he said/she said case, over identifies with the man, and enjoys tearing the woman to shreds online. It's the same sort of "fan" Johnny Depp acquired during the Amber Heard trial. I'm sure he could monetize it, but this would mean embracing media personalities like Perez Hilton and Megan Kelly (his most mainstream online defenders) and leaning into an online culture he previously claimed to oppose in his "Man Enough" days. What's he going to do, make a movie with Whitney Cummings (best known recently for... checking notes... calling Ms. Rachel and the kids who watch her show online names on Twitter)?

Justin's mainstream acting/directing career is over. He might have a career and fan base, but unless he's secretly MAGA (which, who knows, maybe he is), not sure it's one he going to want.

He’s been unfairly attacked with false accusations because so much of what Blake and the nyt said has been proven untrue. People who are saying it’s undisputed “these things happened” should watch the tv show disclaimer with Cate Blanchett. It’s a master class in how the same set of events can be spun to make the victim look like the abuser.

So many of the “things that happened” did not happen like Blake said. It started with the dance video and now we have two videos proving Blake lied. It seems like her lawyers have dropped that allegation completely. The birthing scene that she continues to call porn. The so-called improvised kissing that she’s been caught doing. The sexy comment that she’s also been caught doing. A conversation about circumcising a baby being spun repeatedly by Blake’s lawyers as “Justin talking about his genitalia.” Her lawyers have also spun the narrative that there are “10 women” including Stephanie Jones and Colleen Hoover who have never accused Justin of harassment. This is a smear campaign against Justin and Blake supporters are complicit.

Dp, but completely agree. I had no idea who JB was before this litigation and now I would make an effort to see his projects.

If anything, he and Jamey Heath look like calm, reasonable people working with a psychopath and her husband. Haven’t seen a single dramatic reading of a WF email but the comedians on TikTok and YouTube have been all over Blake’s.

Did you not read about the hearing? Liman quite clearly views her remaining allegations as nothing more than creative differences about scenes of intimacy in a movie everyone knew going on wa going to have sex scenes. You think Hollywood wants directors who are going to direct sex scenes or actresses who make it difficult to do so? Use your head.

Zero incentives? He has a billionaire backer. It’s all about money to studios and if he stays employed by wayfarer he will continue to produce and tell stories. Agree this has chilled his acting career, but I don’t think he was going for that. He was pressured by Colleen to play Ryle.

The irony is that Blake blew up her career as well as Isabel’s. Ryan and Jenny are damaged but will likely recover though this has been stressful I’m sure. There seems to be no doubt Ryan lost some of his power, even if his career is clearly not over.

And Jenny had the misfortune of trying to sell a book immediately after all this in falls 2024 and it flopped. Her 2019 book was a best seller so I do think this has affected her career some.

It seems like Justin gained a bit of a fan base through all of this.

I'd be curious to know how many actual human beings Justin's "fan base" over this case amounts to, and how many would actually buy tickets to a movie. On Reddit, for instance, all the big celeb and pop culture subs are anti-Baldoni (not necessarily pro Blake but definitely anti Baldoni). There's that one sub that is just pro-Baldoni but it's membership pales in comparison and it's active membership is really small (I belong to it, for instance, but stopped posting or reading comments a long time ago because people there are nuts and frankly I suspect bot activity).

I am unconvinced that Baldoni's fan base is particularly large or influential. I think it's like Depp -- they were so rabid during the trial it seemed overwhelming but they mostly disappeared after and I definitely think a lot of it was bots and brigading in retrospect.

This is a joke to me. I believe Heard is credible if flawed, and that Lively is an absolute liar. I doubt I’m alone in this.

Agree, also the relationships and cases are not remotely similar. Heard and Depp were in an intimate relationship, and the issue was domestic violence. Blake made a movie with WF, has made allegations against two of their employees, and jot one of them involves sexual assault, or any assault.

Different poster, but this is a total miss characterization. You should read the text that he sent to his team the day after the January 4 list was read. He said he was paralyzed. He was completely shocked that Blake was reading those things from her phone and he couldn’t move. He said some of the situations were based on real events, but were so taken out of context - even the things that he admitted to doing are not problematic. calling the lead actors in a film filled with love scenes, sexy, when everyone was using that term widely in texts and emails because there was blatant pressure from the studio to make the movie sexier and “bring the heat?”

The whole consent discussion was taken out of context too. He wasn’t saying he raped women in the past, he was saying he didn’t always ask for consent when he was young. ever hooked up in a college dorm and had the kid not explicitly asked you for consent? Because that counts. It was so overblown. Just like talking about his genitalia ended up being a discussion about circumcision as Blake was preparing to have her first baby boy - so blatantly out of context. And just like a mother giving birth is not p-rn- so offensive to women - Blake has given birth four times and she thinks it’s pornographic? This is why her career is ruined because people think this is absolutely absurd.

Some things were taken out of context and some things as you know, Blake completely lied about, and we have the videos to prove it.

This matters less to Baldoni because his future is behind the scenes. Most people will not associate Wayfarer with him in the coming years. As long wayfarer continues to perform and as long as there’s a billionaire backer, Studios will be willing to make movies with them, especially if this whole thing gets dropped before trial which it appears more likely will happen.

He was asking questions. My guess is if he kicks out claims, it will be for technical reasons like extraterritoriality of law or independent contractor. I doubt he will dismiss on MSJ because of arguments that she doesn't meet the threshold for SH (as in the cases they cited about the Friends writing room, etc). I think she has a thin case there, but enough facts that a jury *could* find SH on her facts (unlikely, but could happen).

The defamation claims I expect will be dismissed for failure to state a claim.
