Mitchell: Do you know who did?

The lawyers said they paid for it! Did you not watch?!
She also said she has had to move twice since then.

And?

Polys cost hundreds/thousands. They are not free. She doesn't know "yet" who paid for it?

What does moving have to do with who paid for the poly?

Her lawyers paid for the poly. They are working pro bono. Two gofund me accounts have raised almost half a million dollars.

She wrote the letter to Feinstein on July 30 and started interviewing lawyers almost right away. Katz was recommended to her by Feinstein. Interestingly Feinstein didn't send the letter to the chairman or the FBI, but advised her to hire a lawyer and do a poly first. The prosecutor pointed out the right process to deal with it is to do a forensic interview in confidence.

Then why didn’t she just say her lawyers paid?

Simple.

Because she didn’t know that for sure.

Clarence Thomas playbook still works....yeah #metoo but this is a GOP senate (was Dem in 91)

And I feel just like I did after the Anita Hill hearing. And my teenage DD is crying - she doesn't understand how they can put this man on the SC.

If your teenage daughter is crying it’s because of how the situation has been spun to her. My teenage daughter watched and she didn’t shed a tear.

Neither did mine.

My teen son was watching with me and said it shouldn't matter what happened in high school.

So, no matter what I say, he seeing what other white men in power are saying.

It pains me to write this.

That is really sad. At least you know, maybe you can influence his opinion. Maybe what should stick with him is that the only reason the attempted rape wasn't an actual rape is that Ms. Ford was wearing an inconvenient garment for forced penetration. FFS, I can't even believe this is real life in 2018. I have a son, I would drive him to the jail myself if I ever thought he had anything to do with a similar situation.

BS. They would have simply pulled it to the side.

Because she being honest about everything she knew! She didn't know who paid. She didn't know if the bill from the polygraph was sitting in forwarded mail since she has had to move TWICE to escape from death threats.
She was not evading questions, or turning them back on the prosecutor, throwing a toddler meltdown... she answered honestly. She didn't know who paid.

I'm going to provide the best reply so far to this one. If this were a hearing in the court of law you would have evidence, witnesses and depositions. This was not. There was no call to re-open the FBI background on Kavanagh either.

It is astounding to me that people still think sexual misconduct/assault is only believable if someone else witnessed it, or videotaped it. or watched it happen on the 50-yard line during Monday Night Football.

It's a sexual crime. Absent a rape kit, it's almost aways a he-said/she-said thing. If only someone had witnessed this incident....

Wait! Someone did! Wish we could actually hear from him. But that would take time and cause delays and we can't delay putting a justice on the SCOTUS....

I am furious. But what’s the point, he is going to get confirmed anyway. The Republicans today have made it abundantly clear. Who can stop him
From become a disgrace of a Supreme Court justice at this point?

Kavanaugh proved himself to be a self-indulgent meathead who grew up so entitled and insulated that he can’t fathom that he’s finally being held to account. His decision to lie about the meaning of boof and Devil’s Triangle tells me all I need to know. He’s a liar.

I believe fully and wholeheartedly she is lying.

Well she did lie about flying. Supposedly she didn’t want to come to DC because she would have to fly. Turns out she flew to DC in the summer to see family in Rehoboth and has flown to many destinations around the world

I completely believe the assault occurred, but she has no evidence of who did it. The fact that she fell apart for the remainder of high school and two years of college never raised her parents concern or that of a Holton-Arms Arms counselor. People of her SES would have had her at a shrink.

I know - why??

Ridiculous. You don't get billed for a poly. Standard is half at actual test at least, and rest at results...maybe. Most want it all upfront.

Dems will now be seeing more Trump-like R's. Why?
That's what it takes to beat filth like you.
No one but Trump could beat a dirty dealer like Clinton.
More like Trump will beat the Democrat dirty dealers.

Polite, honest conservatives are no match for the scumballs.

This is sad.

A ranting partisan Supreme Court nominee is what you want?

Following this thread in real time while watching both parties was one of the best DCUM experiences ever - thank you Jeff! 200 pages, yes!

I still have to catch up with the last 50+ pages and I don't know if there were similar observations but for me one particular statement that Kav finally helped me to decide between "it did happened but he honestly does not have any recollection of it happening" and "it did happen and he remembers it but hopes to get away with it": his characterization of Mark Judge.

Why preemptively attack his credibility when he haven't even testified yet? Only one reason.

I don't think he could make it through a contentious PTA meeting... I mean seriously. The GOP senators had to pull the prosecutor from asking him questions because he couldn't handle it!

He was pathetic. This is not supreme court justice material at all. It isn't PTA board material either.

I can see why he volunteered as a coach though - they can throw fits and it isn't out of place.
