Is "sugar" a thing in DMV upper class?

I’m the guy who has posted my various experiences here. When I first started sugar dating, seeking in DC was a goldmine. Hot new sugar baby every weekend was easy. That was years ago. Over the past couple of years things have gotten really bad but there are still gems to be had. What I’ve noticed is when a hot new legit local sugar baby creates an account she will be swamped with 200-300 msgs in the first 2-3 days (kinda same as tinder/hinge I guess) but if she is legit, hot and good with comms/logistics she will be snapped up fas. and she likely will close their account within 1-2 weeks, a month at most. I avoid the ones logging in daily if they have been on seeking more than 3-4months. They are either not legit or ones no one really wants.

The key as an SD is standing out from the 300 other messages she gets within the first 3 days of creating an account.

cities like LA, NYC are much better (hotter girls for about the same allowance requirements)

Another thing that works for me, my search radius is 100miles. I find girls from places like Richmond or WV or DE who are willing to drive and meet in DC 1-2 times a month for a nice evening spent in the big city (of DC lol) and an allowance that is much higher than they would get locally in their little town

To get top talent for DC you need to select slim or athletic for build and under 36 years of age,,,not NYC, but not bad.

Anonymous wrote:I’m a middle aged woman. Out of curiosity I went and registered as a man on seeking to see what these women in DC look like. Most are ugly! Very few attractive ones, and I would just classify them as average

Not sure what exactly you are paying for, guys in dmv area.

Ladies in NYC are stunning though

I've get approached pretty regularly by attractive young women at restaurant bars looking for a "sugar arrangement." Don't know if I just smell of money given thatI'm in my 50s and dress well or what.

+1. A couple of years ago Seeking was great. I could meet up with multiple hot women per week if I wanted. Recently it’s died up and mostly ugly women. Deleted my account.

So where did all the hot women in DMV go? Married their sugar daddies?

There are just not that many really hot women in DC. NYC, Miami and Scottsdale clean up. Whey too much obese and frumpy men and women in the DMV.

They got older. Their replacements are all tatted up, pierced, overweight, with ugly dyed hair.

Us hot women in the DMV makes lots of money, we don't have to stoop to doing this BS.

Yes. I’m the guy who keeps posting my seeking experience. This is true. The hotter women in DMV are usually highly educated and have solid careers. From UMC families. Compare 25-35 yr olds on hinge and seeking and it’s obvious hinge pool is much more high value (hotter and better education/career etc) but like I posted earlier if you are patient, persistent and learn to use seeking for what it has to offer there are diamonds to be found. Sometimes rough diamond that just needs a little polish.

The hot women in places like NYC and LA end up pursuing careers like arts, theater, modeling and etc which don’t provide a stable income for 90% of them. So much more hot girls from LA and NYC on seeking available for the average sugar daddy. I don’t go to NYC much but when I’m in LA every evening can be a new hot (8+) young charming fun and interesting date (lot of actresses happy to act out your fantasies for you)

I’m a former sugar baby and agree. Sure there are some messed up women without a degree but many actually do have a degree. This is like saying attractive people can’t be intelligent.

Amazing depiction of mimetic desire in action. Textbook.

Do married women feel more threatened by the growth of the sugar baby phenomenon? I mean they represent a substitute and alternative to marital sex, and it reduces the marital monopoly on sex.

Prostitutes have always existed. And they will continue to exist.

There have been real disruptions to sexual norms, primarily the pill and proliferation or p0rn.

Rebranding prostitutes as sugar babies is inconsequential compared to the real drivers of behavior change.

I have read of "salt daddies" who pretend to be rich to get free sex. They meet at hotels and take Ubers because their Ferraris are with a mechanic.

Conversely, I read urban legends about naive young women who wanted to find real, older boyfriends. But I heard that hard-core prostitutes dominate now. They demand $200 and a free drink at the first meeting to avoid salt daddies, and they give no free first-date sex.

I’m very late joining this thread but the sugar daddy thing is just a new name for an old phenomenon. It was probably most prevalent in the late 19th century and early 20th century, when industrialization meant many young women were moving away from their families but were largely taking jobs that did not provide an income in which you could actually live. There’s good historical research indicating that dating for subsidence was a really important part of the female economy, and it ran the gamut between women who were having extramarital sex and living in apartments paid for by a guy to those who were basically trading make out sessions and some petting for a decent hot meal (make sure he buys you dinner first!). This is why the old female boarding houses were so obsessed with keeping men out — it was a short walk to turning into a bordello! And men used to give gifts that were things like a new dress or shoes — because these girls weren’t making enough to buy themselves friggin shoes!
PP taking about the art/theTer communities in LA and NY-/that’s basically a throw back. Lots of women who have left home to work in industries that don’t pay enough to support themselves. So they turn to some sort of sex work or sex-adjacent work to get by.

This phenomenon is nothing new. It is not from 17/18 century nor has it anything to do with Industrial Revolution. Go back to prehistoric times women have always been dependent on men until the last 50-70 years. Across all civilizations. Before the concept of marriage was invented, I imagine our prehistoric ancestors had some form of sugar relationship. The male would “provide” food/shelter/resources for his mate/sugarbaby and she would offer sex companionship and perhaps even some domestic service in return. The more “stronger” “powerful” “resourceful” or “wealthier” males would be able to get access to the most desirable females. Nothing new here.

At some point in humanity the concept of marriage was formed (in almost every civilization in all corners of the world).

In a way the sugar baby sugar daddy dynamic is just a new and fancy name for something that had existed since beginning of time.
