Well some people have real sticks in their butt about which is why the thread is going on so long.

It's only degrading if you think casual sex is degrading. It's just casual sex with a guy who buys you shoes instead of telling you to get your shit and get out before his roommate comes back.

Casual sex is degrading actually, and not satisfying for most women. No wonder they prefer to get financial benefits if doing it. The difference between a prostitute and a non-prostitute is that men on these apps actually get women to do things they wouldn't have done without the financial part. Don't pretend it's the same.

Vanilla sex is a commodity, these men are spoilt by multiple beautiful partners, all kinds of life pleasures including narcotics. It's not pretty on that other side.

Casual sex may be degrading to YOU, but it's also something very willingly done by choice by others.

If casual sex, compensated or not, is something that you find distasteful, you should not do it. Leave others alone.

Casual sex has made me very happy, and it made a number of my female friends in college very happy. Some of them chose to do it for some small compensation and that neither made them happy nor unhappy. It was just a fun thing to do. Most women will tell you they've done things for partners they wouldn't have ordinarily done—that is neither here nor there in this case.

I had casual sex with boys I liked and it never crossed my mind to expect anything financial from them in return. I would be so ashamed if I did it for money !

I was giving language and math lessons, working as a model part time to earn extra income.

I married very well at age 26.

Having casual sex in your early twenties with boys in their early twenties is totally different than having casual sex in your early twenties with men over 40. The great majority of young women don't find old men attractive and would only have casual sex with them in a transactional relationship, or because they believe they will get some kind of financial or career benefit out of the relationship. The only older guy I guy I flirted back with in my twenties had a beautiful mansion on the beach, a nice car, great style and flashed a lot of money around, so ya, he was attractive to me. Otherwise, the old men in bars looked like dads or grandpas and they idea of sex with them was absurd.

You never had sex with someone who was not a total dreamboat?

My friends who did the Sugar thing didn't eff EVERY guy who came along.

Also, if you have grown up and are now in your 30s or 40s or 50s, presumably you have sex with men in their 30s, 40s or 50s and it is something that can be done, and possibly even be enjoyed?

In my twenties, I only dated other people in their twenties, with one exception and the guy was very successful and attractive. Most men over thirty looked old to me, and men over forty looked ancient. Since my thirties, I've been married and only had sex with the same person, so I can't respond based on experience. If something happened to my spouse, I'm fairly sure that if I found myself looking for casual sex, I'd be dating younger as I've got enough money, so I wouldn't be using sex for financial purposes, so old men have no hook, even now that I'm older.

You didn't answer the question--have you ever had sex with someone who is not conventionally attractive?

Not conventionally attractive is not the same as old. Especially when you're twenty, there is a big difference between someone with a big nose and someone with saggy, lose skin who is closer to your parents age than your own.

We've once again arrived at personal taste. Plenty of college guys are fat, bad skin, smelly, etc.

When I was in college I would've much rather effed a fit 42yo with a handsome face and normal nose than some trollish guy my age with bacne. I didn't, but now I'm startign to wish I had gotten into Sugar.

Presumably you're saying that as a person who is no longer in college? Because when I was in college, I did not find old guys attractive. I also didn't find fat, bad skin, smelly college guys attractive, so that's not relevant. I can see whey a twenty-something would want to fly private on the weekends with Leo to his place in Cabo, sure. There is room for exceptions - and I agree that super rich, hot, fit 40-somethings men have some leverage with twenty-something girls. It goes both ways - a super rich, hot 40-something woman can also pull twenty-something men to vacation with her in Cabo.

Sounds like you're down with Sugar!

I jumped into this conversation late - I don't really care how single people have consensual sex with each other. If old men are going to date young women, I do think as a matter of principle, they should pay up. If I found out my husband was engaged in a sugar relationship (spending marital property to cheat on me?), I would crucify him in the divorce.

I slept with 5 men in a lifetime, being very selective. PYes, every single of them was a total dreamboat:
#1 an oil and gas heir 6’3 tall looking like Sean Connery with own townhouse outside large city. He was 28 I was 21. He was big into bdsm; had an executive MBA and an investment banking job. He set a standard for the rest of my life.
#2 a tourist agency owner; he was also an MBA and had his own apartment at 27, took me on trips and would run errands for me at night if I got sick ;
#3 a future physics engineer one year younger than me; his parents were often at summer house we had his whole apartment for meetings
#4 a lawyer in early 30s also a kinkster we had bondage play
#5 my husband. Now has own finance company, PhD in finance from an Ivy school

All were over 6 feet tall, young and attractive brunettes

I feel like your husband could be attractive to a 22yo...

Your mention of BDSM and kinds is interesting... let's say you're a 21yo girl, why should you settle for boring frat guys when you could be getting taken to Cabo for the weekend with a 42yo who knows how to kink play?

I was very cute in my 20s, could afford nice clothing and travel on my own. I had choices and didn’t have to settle for some ugly frat boys or old sugar daddies

Not sure why you think we care.

I was just responding to the question shoot the two suggested options: a smelly college guy or a rich 40s dude.
I didn’t need either- there were great choices for me ok between and I just stayed single waiting for them to pop up. Never settled

Still not interested. We're talking about whether Sugar is a thing in DC.

Yeah totally, if he's cheating and spending your money to do it, that's a pretty clear transgression. But, that's because he's married and the money isn't his to give away.
