You knows things are going to get bad when the gangs in Brazil have imposed a curfew and voluntarily closed some of their open air drug markets....

When drug dealers in Brazilian slums have more sense than the US President, we are officially a shithole country.

65,778 cases, 942 deaths. Today is the deadliest day with 199 deaths. With this steepening curve, it's impossible to "open up" by easter.

Not many.

I'm glad you've finally started to pay attention, at least.

Tons have in the health forum.

And I've been paying attention since January. And I knew this dude's story was fake. How anyone believed it is beyond me.

You are going to start seeing massive death on Cape Cod. Tons of elderly retirees - and now tons of NY license plates.

Honest question: How does this compare to Influenza at this stage in the season? Is “regular” Influenza - the seasonal disease we typically track at this time of the year - also spiking?

Not minimizing COVID19 - at all. Terrified of it and concerned about the latest death tolls/infection rate. I’m social distancing and following all the protocols, etc. In other words, please don’t flame me. Simply curious.

CDC's weekly flu report
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/

Flu season began September 29. Influenza cases typically decline at this time. Estimated 23,000 deaths this season from flu through March 14. It is likely more people died from coronavirus than flu yesterday. This wasn't true any day last week.
