Trump made the US "number one" in coronavirus deaths. And it may take at least a year to turn the country around in this one area, so the deaths will keep on increasing. Mainly because of people like "Lol, bookmarked" poster. |
I don’t understand how morally we should give the GOP a huge pass on the fact that they not only botched this, but politicized it and actively worsened it wherever and whenever they could, laughing about it the whole time. Like if Trump had tried his best, but failed, I’d still mock him, but he would have done his duty. Instead there dozens of maskless rallies, him calling it a hoax, him mocking masking, him then getting platinum care when his irresponsible behaviors finally caught up with him and then him downplaying it more, the GOP supporting Sturgis, GOP legislatures across the country trying to shut down mask requirements - I really and truly do not understand their endgame, but it feels so stupid and coordinated that I wonder if it was a coordinated effort to hurt America. |
| One year ago, it was like 56, a hoax and would disappear by April. |
| Where's the flu - and I'm asking this on a global level? |
absent due to viral competition/interference from sars-cov2. and maggie haberman is one of the least reliable/sane sources for covid related news. |
All Haberman did was retweet an article from Reuters. |
yea, a dumb one. an article that references one economist at UCLA that made a model that shows deaths could've been 300,000, with no information regarding the model. |

OP here. I can't believe one year later, we are still adding 66,822 cases and 1415 new deaths a day. USA 30,704,576 +66,822 558,519 +1,415 (Last updated: March 25, 2021, 22:41 GMT) |
| yay, we're #1 again. I guess Trump succeded in making America #1 again. |
