Wow. You are strange. |
Does anyone know if the victim was randomly bullied/targeted? Or was he perhaps friends with some part of that crowd/troublemakers as well? In many instances mob bullies have some reason to attack someone, usually revenge or getting back at them for something else. The attack seemed coordinated which must have taken some effort and planning. For those with kids at the school I can see that the former case would definitely be concerning if they randomly chose someone they didn't really know. But if the latter I'd be less worried about my kid as long as he stays away from troublemakers. |
This looks very much targeted and not at all random. What many of the PPs are saying is that it is fully possible that this kid had other torments from the same group, but was afraid to speak up, because FCPS is notoriously bad at helping the victim - and often does what it can to turn the tables and blame the victim, to save itself. This doesn't look like any run of the mill "I don't want to hang out with you anymore" revenge. |
Aaaaand now we get EXACTLY how these kids thought their behaviors were at all acceptable. The apple does not fall far from that tree. |
I could not find it? |
Those names will be out there before too long. |
DP. You are a bully, too. |
I’m not a lawyer but this is not a complicated situation. You can read the relevant state laws for yourself. Simply bringing a stun weapon into school property is grounds for expulsion; bringing a firearm requires it. It’s basically up the superintendent. These student brought a prohibited weapon to school then used it on a defenseless child half their size. If they are not expelled it is no one’s decision except the superintendent preventing it. Hold them accountable. |
I'm sorry, but I don't see how poster condones the behavior. Sounds like they are questioning anonymous reactions. |
+1000. |
Any potentially prosecutable felonies here? |
People can be injured or worse from stun guns, no? |

So the irony here is that my 4th grader with Aspergers and PTSD just got a longer suspension than these kids for pushing a teacher out of his way so he could run away during a lockdown drill. He has an IEP and is supposed to be able to go to his “safe place” when he is having a panic attack. But in this case since they were practicing hiding from active shooters he wasn’t allowed.
Wow, just wow. |

Lawyer up. |
