Of course, the classic “chip on your shoulder” comment. Racism, discriminatory treatment, etc. doesn’t exist. Nothing to see here, folks.

DP. Of course it exists but harping on it incessantly isn’t going to make your life any better....it will just embitter you.

NP,
STFU

well, just keep on blaming somebody else then. do you not realize, the more you push and blame the more things will remain the same? just go on with your life and ignore those that do you wrong. that's what I do and my life is so much easier now that I dont blame every slight against me on the color of my skin.

No one is blaming every slight on their ‘skin color ’, whatever the eff that means. Ignoring racism does not make it go away. It just makes you more comfortable because you do not want to have to hear about it or deal with . Take your own advice, if people talk about it , ignore it and keep your ignorant comments to yourself.

Typical ignorant, worthless, vulgarly aggressive response.

Maybe someone could post the video from this. It’s so infuriating.

This is incredibly disturbing, on so many levels. As a black man, I watch this video and I feel tense and my adrenaline is rushing because, at this point, I know this is what I would do.

I think this is one of the worst, if not the worst, of these 'existing while black' scenarios. Thank goodness none of the actions of the officer or security guard cost this young man his life.

Yeah. It’s terrible, and I find most of this thread suspect. This was because he was black.

And a hospital ID bracelet. Completely ridiculous.

Despicable actions taken by American Airlines.

It's very obvious that a lot of people don't care for black people in this country.

+1 How is it possible that the two idiots (security guard and officer) didn't even think to check with the hospital? Or they didn't want to because all they wanted was to get the Black man in trouble?

This thread is so depressing and awful. That poor woman! I have seen plenty of women on planes with far skimpier outfits. The flight attendant should be fired.
