So Grosso wants to investigate special placements since 2014. There's no way that DCPS kept a list anywhere marked "SPECIAL TREATMENT". The only way to do it will be to search all of Kaya's emails. Doubtful that anything will ever come from this, which is disappointing

I think there must be a record of every special placement. I hope it comes to light. Snowden and Rodriguez should suffer all he shame. We need the other names to spread the shame around.

Snowden and and Rodriguez should have to remove their kids from those schools and should be disciplined or terminated.

They did not commit offences that can be disciplined.

However the special placements should absolutely be rescinded.

They could be terminated for any reason and Bowser should do so in order to demonstrate her commitment to ensuring an aadministration with the highest ethical standards and a no-tolerance policy for her officials using their positions to curry favors. Otherwise, she might as well join the Trump WH.

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, corruption in DC has nothing to do with Trump. This city's legacy of corruption has BARRY written all over it. Everyone knows it. Don't pretend otherwise. Take your bitterness to another forum.

I have no real desire to see them terminated but will be furious when (not if but when) toothless Bowser takes no action to send the students back to the schools they would attend if not for a crony deal.

DCPS can barely manage the paperwork it's legally required to maintain. I have a feeling this secret list will never materialize

Plus, now we are reaping what we sow. What do folks think happened to all those kids caught up in the cheating scandal? No one ever went back and corrected their grades or retested them - they were passes along until they couldn't be any longer. Now that we have PARCC the scores shows the truth, the results are horrendous even WOTP. Now the narrative even DCPS allows to be unchallenged in the media is that the students at Wilson didn't try their best and many walked out on their tests. So, did DCPS or OSSE send monitors this year to be sure it wasn't happening - NO! So, I guess they don't care about the results only how to spin them. The wheels are already turning.

I am certain that the secret list will never come to light and everything will go back to normal. The kids will stay in their preferred schools and the adults will not be punished.
Bending the rules and special treatment to personal benefit is a big motivator for public office.

Here's the city paper saying some Watkins parents are sooo not happy. This is the school Snowden allegedly used political pull to escape, yes? How do I get some of that too?
