Maybe they were going there to rape them and things got out of hand when the one fought back.

It just seems that if they were only interested in raping and harming the women, then they would have chosen a less conspicuous place to do this. They took some serious risks of getting caught. People heard the screams. People could easily have seen the men follow the women into the store (although it seems no one did see). It was just so risky for the attackers. This is what makes me think there was some other motive other than just a little bit of cash and some violence.

It was me who pointed out that they have far fewer pages and I am fine disagreeing really... but having read their thread and this one, they arent going after one another as much...they dont seem to feel the need to. Women tend to make debates personal far quicker than men. I am a woman btw so I am not trying to insult us all. It is just the way I see it. It was not meant to be inflammatory.
I have sent my photos to the police. I think anyone who took pics during that time should. I bet a lot of people who were waiting in line did because it was quite a sight really. Hundreds of people. We took the pics for fun - hubbie sent them to me since I was still at work and it was fun at the time to view them and see the bustle that was around that street. Now it is harder to think about.

Really? People heard screaming and just continued to stand in line for their iPads? Seems unlikely.

How does everyone know there wasn't any cash? I have NO recollection of anyone disclosing that information!

13:40 The cash is a supposition on my part. Most folks use credit and debit cards these days.

Here's one: Maybe one of the posters here drumming up the inside job theory is the girlfriend of one of the perps. There's a Law & Order SVU plot twist for you.

Hm. I dont think the crimes happened during a time when the Apple Store would have been still open. I am not sure though if they were open later that day because of the Ipad launch. Site says they are open until 9 on weekdays. Crime happened after 10 right?
I think there was a previous report that said people in another building close by(?) heard screams during the night? I dont know what the source of this info was though. I cant imagine this is true but if it is we have sunk to a new low.

There was a person in a nearby business who reported hearing cries for help and who did not call the police.

As far as the money is concerned, it was reported that the attackers did leave with the proceeds from the store but of course the amount has not been disclosed.

The Apple Store was still open I believe until 10:30. I also think that the screams were heard from the Apple Store.

You could be right. It wouldnt surprise me to know that the Apple Store was open later that night. I actually went to look on google to see if they had different hours of operation for the launch night but couldnt find anything. Anyone know that? My hubbie and daughter were there earlier to brave the lines - unveiling was set to start at 5pm so he was there a bit before then and was in line for over two hours. They quickly were running out of ipads but it didnt keep hundreds of people from being there. Line all the way back to end of the road. I dont know what happened after my family left but I believe he left around 8 and the line was still in full force. The Apple Store people who were handling the crowd only told people periodically when they were out of a particular kind of Ipad but conveniently never told anyone HOW MANY of the ones left they had so people stayed hoping.
Also, I dont know how long the Apple workers would have been in the store after it closed too. It must have been quite a day for them. I just have trouble grappling with the idea that someone would be in the next room hearing screaming and not call 911. I mean what do you risk by calling 911? I get not going over there to see or help or rescue, but not calling 911? Horrible.

What men's board?

People are fascinated with high profile crimes. Have you not googled the Kyron Horman case? Have you not tried to sleuth it out in your own mind? Did you never watch a detailed TV show on the OJ murder trial? No good pretending we aren't fascinated by crimes. One look at the local TV lineup and you can see the who dun its. Many of which are "torn from the headlines" - fictionalized but somewhere a real person was the victim.

It's a DISCUSSION board. Where people trade ideas and insights. Useful or inane. If you don't like the topic, get off the thread.

For real. The speculation on this thread is normal. If she was involved, in will all come out in the wash. Involved or not, NOBODY deserves what these two women got.

I have a feeling that if it comes out that she was involved, many of you who think the speculation on this thread makes Baby Jesus cry will be the first ones to say she deserved it.

Yeah its on Fox 5 dc website...its the latest video about the situation. Fox 5 said they found him and called him to find that he gave the DNA and clothes voluntarily and that he was not involved but was in a fight or something that night and people told police. Did not make alot of sense to me but thats what they reported.
