Elon prepares to doxx all Feds:

Just diplomas??? We have PhDs from Ivy Leagues...

That’s a ton of money! Especially for people who mostly work from home. Eliminating tens of thousands of positions at $80K a pop is a huge savings. You Feds really are out of touch. That is a huge amount of money for the average American in flyover country. Just wow.

Cool story, bro. Come back to us when your baby dies from an unsafe drug or your should-have-been-recalled car catches fire or you’re puking your guts out from an undisclosed E. coli outbreak. You really think people are being paid to do nothing?

Yes, yes you’ve said this in other threads. Scare tactics seem to be your forte. I doubt you perform either of these functions. Some Feds will stay of course, but the vast majority do not perform these essential functions from their living rooms.

NP. So what’s your point? DOGE is firing people doing important work. And also, please remember the majority of feds do not work in DC. They work in field offices all over the US, including “flyover country.”

I think the majority of Trump voters from Flyover Country do not make $80K and we be very happy to see those positions go. Again, so many on here are clueless about life in the rest of the country. A Trump voter living in a trailer in Arizona definitely does not make $80K. Do you not get that?

Not are they billionaires like almost all of Trump’s cabinet, but for some reason it’s okay for those employees to be really rich. But normal feds? To the guilotine!!

IMO this is precisely the rub. Government employees seem to think Americans aren't entitled to any job protections, especially if there are foreigners that can do it, or it can be outsourced. I totally get why Americans are upset with their government. I personally could do without the DOL and their wage categories they set for LCAs. Though, going after low hanging fruit like contractors and probationary employees is a little underwhelming, and Musk isn't going to do anything about job security in the private sector. Maybe Musk II will be smarter.

Many make more than $80K, you know that. I’m sure the argument is that DC cost of living is high, but well, not for long!

So you think someone with years of higher education and expertise doesn't deserve more than 80k?

Truck drivers make more than $80K too. I'm going to start training for a CDL soon.

No they don’t. Maybe Musk and friends do, but there is no evidence rank-and-file government workers think this. Whenever this topic comes up on DCUM, I see more posters saying they think private sector workers should also have protection from arbitrary firings.

You can see all these agencies. NASA to DOA, DHS to DOL they're all of the impression that they need more foreign workers. You can look at all the suburbs around DC and their Pro immigrant sanctuary laws. They really don't care about American jobs.

What are you talking about? Can you point to an actual policy document that says this? And even if you can, you do understand that the people who work for the government carry out the policies of the elected administration, right? It doesn’t reflect rank-and-file employees’ personal views any more than Trump’s current policies do.

And beyond all that, how does any of this translate to federal workers saying other people don’t deserve protection from arbitrary firing?

You are inventing arguments no one made and putting words into people’s mouths. It’s incredibly transparent.

What are you talking about? Your average fed employee deeply believes Americans are entitled to job protections! The DOL goes after employers for wage theft, illegal hiring practices, and labor law violations. Or at least they did under previous administrations, unsure if this one will enforce laws that benefit workers. Musk isn’t going to do anything about job security ever!

Anonymous wrote:Perhaps DOGE will next create a website showing all the taxpayer $$ going to Musk-owned businesses, like the planned $400M DOS contract for teslas.

That would be helpful to see.

Can someone please get on that?

I’m surprised someone hasn’t already put together something like this.

Even in the simplest of formats, like the DOGE one, it would be great to see all the taxpayer money going to Elon’s business interests through contracts already awarded.

Plus estimated individual and corporate income taxes forgone because of all the cuts and writeoffs.

Well there’s some press coverage actually:

https://abcnews.go.com/US/musk-works-slash-federal-spending-firms-received-billions/

“ Over the last decade, Musk's companies SpaceX and Tesla were awarded at least $18 billion in federal contracts, according to spending data -- with SpaceX winning more than $17 billion worth of contracts since 2015.”

What do you mean by doxx?

Doxing, also spelled doxxing, is the act of publicly providing personally identifiable information about an individual or organization, usually via the Internet and without their consent. Historically, the term has been used to refer to both the aggregation of this information from public databases and social media

They also do Labor Condition Application (LCA) Specialty Occupations with the H-1B, H-1B1 and E-3 Programs. Where they certify that immigrants aren't taking Americans jobs. This has been defrauded so many times it isn't even funny. DOJ v Apple, DOJ v Meta etc All someone had to do at DOL, USCIS or DHS had to do was say hey, your ads in the Sunday edition of the newspaper with misspelled skills jargon that requires a paper copy of mailed in with stamp and your hostile skills interview for which there isn't even a job. All they had to do was say that's not valid, but no we had to have a number of class action law suits, and it's still going on.

You can go to any of the scientific agencies, and they are all trying to get as many "postdocs" (H-1bs) on their grants as possible. EG "Americans just aren't interested in science". Let's see these immigrants go to bat for Fed jobs. HaHaHa They've got your back HaHaHa!

Getting a job these days is like war, that's for sure, welcome to the world.
