Trump poll nos. on foreign policy tanking 📉

‼️ Unlike Trump, Americans personally sympathize more w Ukraine overRussia by 56-3

đź‘€ Disapprove Trump's foreign policy by 13 pts (50% to 37 %); in Jan they approved 39% to 37%.

Ambushing Zelensky at Oval despite propaganda looks to be a disaster.

You all really think a president in his last term, who ran to implement specific policies regardless of what anyone thinks, cares about polls?

People are already trying to predict actual elections.

Trump is extraordinary vain--especially for a man pushing 80. Of course he cares about polls.

Yes. More importantly though, I think that those in Congress, especially those on 2 year terms who hitched their rides on Trump’s coattails care about polls.

The GOP should care about it.

Approval ratings mean nothing.

I just called my Congress members about Ukraine and asked them to work to reinstate the funding.

Tomorrow, I'll call about Dept of Ed.

Next day, I'll call about social security.

He does not think it's his last term.

Trump thinks otherwise. He's crowed about his ratings for years.

He’ll just say he has the best ratings ever, better than George Washington, and his followers will believe him.

https://harvardharrispoll.com/press-release-february-2025/

In his first month in office, President Donald Trump’s approval rating is at 52%, with voters most satisfied with his job on immigration, reducing the cost of the government, and returning America to its values. The majority of voters support Trump’s policies on the border, focus on government expenditures, gender, DEI, and offshore drilling but have concerns on his foreign policies involving tariffs, the Israel-Hamas war, and the war in Ukraine. Download key results here.

“People are taking a generally positive wait-and-see attitude for Trump but have really reassessed their attitudes toward Biden, Harris, and the Democrats, taking a much harsher, more negative attitude,” said Mark Penn, Co-Director of the Harvard CAPS / Harris poll and Stagwell Chairman and CEO. “Trump has a real opportunity here – we’re seeing a healthy, trudging approval edging toward real approval based on how the next couple of months turn out.”

This is what is known as a “push poll” and it’s crap.

It may very well be a crap poll but it's safe to say that a majority of Americans do support the most if not all of the proposals in this particular poll.

Trump’s methods of carrying out these proposals combined with his distasteful rhetoric are the cause of opposition and resistance from a growing number and soon to be majority of Americans.

This is how a POTUS with generally popular common sense agendas can have a job approval rating in the 35% to 40% range as Trump did during his first term. At the rate his approval rating is sinking in his second term, he may wind up as unpopular as Carter was by 2028.

Trump does not have “generally popular common sense agendas.” At all.

+1

Despite what the bigots are trying to sell.

He's underwater and his downward slide continues.

The crazy thing is if he could focus and stick to the major parts of his agenda that were populist and popular I think he could be doing ok. I hate him - a lot - but the border/immigration (not my top issue, but polls don't lie), fentanyl, countering China, government cuts without the maliciousness and chaos, and some bone to the working class - is what won him the election. It's really similar to his self-own on COVID.

That’s a pretty stark reversal. It’s all fun and games until you lose your job.
