Like many women, I have had a miscarriage. Don't get me wrong, the experience was incredibly sad. But there was no death certificate. No funeral. That's because our fetus wasn't a person yet. I was fortunate enough that my miscarriage did not come with any major complications, but it gets dangerous when hospitals refuse to treat miscarrying women because they can't distinguish between miscarriages and abortions.

The reason I cannot get on board with the Dem position in this issue is their complete denial that any fetus in any stage is a living being with rights. A fetus is not simply tissue in the mother’s body.

I believe in bodily autonomy, and that no woman should be forced to remain pregnant. However, no one has the right to demand that a viable fetus be killed. But we don’t see the left advocating for the right to early inductions or C sections resulting in live births for women who do not wish to or cannot remain pregnant. Why is that? Because the entire point of many of these procedures is that the fetus is killed and ceases to exist. I’m talking about “medical” abortions where the fetus is being killed due to being diagnosed with a disability or hereditary disease. For those of us who don’t believe in euthanasia ESPECIALLY for those who cannot choose it, this is not materially different from infanticide.
Before you start lecturing me, I know firsthand the burden that families experience when they are faced with giving birth to a baby who will not survive more than a few hours or days, and I am fully aware of the enormous burden that families with disabled children experience. IMO these burdens are made worse by the fact that our society devalues individuals with disabilities and physical differences, so fewer are born (because they are aborted), so they are less “seen” in society, and therefore more stigmatized and less supported since most people are not impacted firsthand.

Women who want to cosplay as victims because they can get pregnant and aren’t willing to take care of their own child, aren’t the same as raped and medically urgent/emergent pregnant women suffering health problems. I was fortunate enough that my miscarriage did not come with any major complications, but it gets dangerous when hospitals refuse to treat miscarrying women because they can't distinguish between miscarriages and abortions.

Women are so insistent on demanding elective abortion that women who have legitimate health issues are suffering.

We aren’t pretending abortion should be safe, legal, and rare anymore: it’s full on killing babies and shouting about it.

Women and girls who are raped, victims of incest, and experience health and medical issues should be able to choose what’s best for them in their horrific and cruel circumstances.

Women who want to cosplay as victims because they can get pregnant and aren’t willing to take care of their own child, aren’t the same as raped and medically urgent/emergent pregnant women suffering health problems. Using abused and sick women to demand abortion rights is the ultimate betrayal of your fellow women.

Are you asking women to prove that they were raped so that they can make that choice?

I believe in bodily autonomy, and that no woman should be forced to remain pregnant. However, no one has the right to demand that a viable fetus be killed. Before you start lecturing me, I know firsthand the burden that families experience when they are faced with giving birth to a baby who will not survive more than a few hours or days, and I am fully aware of the enormous burden that families with disabled children experience. IMO these burdens are made worse by the fact that our society devalues individuals with disabilities and physical differences, so fewer are born (because they are aborted), so they are less “seen” in society, and therefore more stigmatized and less supported since most people are not impacted firsthand.

They don’t even act for one second they are even slightly sad they are killing their own baby. It’s very scary. They want everyone to have deep sympathy and empathy for their pain but have zero sympathy for their own child.

In fact, we have to pretend their baby isn’t alive, a human, or their child, to meet their stringent abortion rights requirements. We have to pretend nothing of value is being lost and pay for the “health care” that kills their unborn child. It’s really sad and upsetting. They seem to believe the more rude and hateful they are in demanding their “rights,” the more people will go along with them.

I an not. Life is hard, but killing your own baby while attacking other people as cruel and inhumane and evil is just too much.

I delivered twins during my 20th week of pregnancy. Don't tell me that at 20 weeks a baby is a "bag of cells." They were tiny little human beings. If you held your children in your arms and watched them die like I did, you would support restrictions on abortion to the first trimester. I don't know the numbers, but I believe a large number of abortions that happen in the second trimester is due to the advent of advanced genetic testing that takes place 18 weeks. To me, it is horrifying that people will terminate pregnancies due to genetic abnormalities like Downs Syndrome, or even the wrong sex.

Agree, as someone who generally supports a right to abortion in the first trimester. It is horrifying that people terminate at twenty weeks.

People who support second or third term abortions should read about what the babies endure during the abortion process. Ripping off limbs is horrific especially considering they start to feel pain about 13 weeks gestation. I've listened to interviews with abortion providers and it makes me sick what is happening. There is a reason a majority of ob/gyns will not perform abortions.

Yes, it is horrific and the babies don’t receive pain medication because that would humanize them.

Have you ever seen a 12 year old baby deliver a baby? It’s definitely ripping her body apart. The 12 year olds.

12 year olds give birth around the world everyday and are not ripped apart.
