He probably realized a few parents on that team are crazy.

I thought the crazies left?

They did for a bit but came running back. They were not welcomed back with open arms. Many are upset they are back.

Because U9 tournaments in Olney are the only sure way to success in life. U9? Seriously - we're bragging about U9?

Oh my kid doesn’t play for them so I’m not bragging. But you gotta be honest. They play good soccer for 8 year olds in comparison to what else I have seen in America. So I’m giving them their props.

The mail point being it seems like their youth pipeline is strong and they because of that they should have a strong teams from 12 to 15 years of age. I can’t imagine them going down anytime time soon.

My nephews team at Liverpool beat Bethesda every time they played them last year. They are playing some great little football over at Liverpool in that age bracket! We had fun watching them.

I think Liverpool's first team defeated Bethesda's 4th team. That is the only way they must have defeated them.

That’s probably also true! No clue. Just great seeing a team with some creative plays and passion even if they were little kids.

Why? Why would anyone be upset?

Why would anyone outside of the team even care? Singling out players or families on an anonymous forum is pretty low class if you ask me. Their are much bigger problems at Bethesda.

You are aware that there are 3-5 teams per age bracket at Bethesda U12 and under, and I would bet everything I own that your nephew's Liverpool team was not playing the top (or even second) Bethesda team. (Well, looks like 2013 top Liverpool team beat 2013 SECOND Bethesda team last October. Whoop-dee-do.) If your nephew is developing well at Liverpool (and not just playing "kickball" as clubs in that tier tend to do, then good on him and the club (seriously).

BSC is best kick ball team in the area. Zero soccer played at BSC.

People whose kids could not find success at BSC and left don’t like to admit that but it’s true. It’s some of the best quality futbol you’ll find in the US and that will keep drawing people too the club. The brand is very much alive and kicking! If you didn’t like the coach or found greener pastures somewhere else, great! Please move on and give this silly thread a break.

LMAO!!! “Best quality futbol”. Stop it we have all seen this club play for years. Zero standards at every level.

That happens way too often and is a sign of weak coaching.

Because they thought that their benched kid would get more playtime and now won't.

It must suck to have your kids forced to play in this toxic club

LOLOLOLOL, now I've seen it all here. Bethesda plays through the back in a very technical style, often to their detriment results-wise. Give me a team and age group that you think plays kickball. You can't.

I’m not a BSC fan and this is correct on girls ecnl. Definitely not kickball. Can’t speak for boys.

So where would a DC based young but aspiring top level player play? If both Bethesda and Achilles aren’t good, what’s the better option?

There’s a group working on bringing a new club to the bethesda area. They are building new fields. Heard some of bethesda coaches are already secretely on board and they will be offering encl girls program.

Wouldn't a club have to prove themselves before ECNL let's them in. Maybe ECRL?

Not necessarily. All about the plan, the fields and the connections
