Because U9 tournaments in Olney are the only sure way to success in life. U9? Seriously - we're bragging about U9?

Oh my kid doesn’t play for them so I’m not bragging. But you gotta be honest. They play good soccer for 8 year olds in comparison to what else I have seen in America. So I’m giving them their props.

The mail point being it seems like their youth pipeline is strong and they because of that they should have a strong teams from 12 to 15 years of age. I can’t imagine them going down anytime time soon.

People whose kids could not find success at BSC and left don’t like to admit that but it’s true. It’s some of the best quality futbol you’ll find in the US and that will keep drawing people too the club. The brand is very much alive and kicking! If you didn’t like the coach or found greener pastures somewhere else, great! Please move on and give this silly thread a break.

ROFL this reads like company PR not a random parent that actually believes this bs. They only do well when they roster down kids to win in tournaments. And don't get anyone starts on how badly they flat out cheat in msl next.

Please, its positional soccer at its best for their top teams; its effective whatever you are calling it, lots of W's we are all aware. But please do not call it futbol though. Futbol has creativity, flare, its unpredictable, its risque and is built on trust amongst teammates and the coaches. Trust LMAO!!! not happening at BSC; nor is futbol happening anywhere when winning is the only measure of success.

+1 ZERO trust hence the joysticking and yelling

He probably realized a few parents on that team are crazy.

Typical response. Bethesda golf bros blaming “crazy parents” as their lazy and laughably predictable gaslighting move.

Oh, those crazy ones left the team. And they left thinking grass is greener on the other side.

My nephews team at Liverpool beat Bethesda every time they played them last year. They are playing some great little football over at Liverpool in that age bracket! We had fun watching them.

I think Liverpool's first team defeated Bethesda's 4th team. That is the only way they must have defeated them.

You are aware that there are 3-5 teams per age bracket at Bethesda U12 and under, and I would bet everything I own that your nephew's Liverpool team was not playing the top (or even second) Bethesda team. (Well, looks like 2013 top Liverpool team beat 2013 SECOND Bethesda team last October. Whoop-dee-do.) If your nephew is developing well at Liverpool (and not just playing "kickball" as clubs in that tier tend to do, then good on him and the club (seriously).

They did? Well that’s still impressive cause Bethesda second team is strong

I did find Liverpool u11 defeated the 4th Bethesda team but that’s not impressive

Can’t believe you all here use “winning” as a measure of a club success in player development. Reason why soccer in this country sucks

This made me spurt my afternoon coffee

- former Bethesda family (and foolish payer of not for profit (ah hem) fees.

This club is why Michael Lewis suggestion for federal regulation of travel sports makes sense to me.

You do know that even non-profits have fees, right?

Being pampered and privileged must be tough.

Someone should do an audit of those six figure credit card fees or how they lost money on a supposed charitable fundraiser golf tournament. A food and booze filled day where well off families funded KL, SC and others to party under the auspices of a tax write off to fund scholarships.

They really lost money on the fundraiser? Where can I see that?

The last public 501c3 filing.
