That seems likely. Lol.

No, there are literally right-wing groups openly doing this. One infiltrated the TJ PTA and imploded it.

DP. What on earth are you babbling about? Links? The Coalition for TJ isn't "right-wing." They are fighting to keep TJ's admission standards selective. I don't even have kids at TJ, but can completely understand why the admissions standards shouldn't be watered down in the name of "diversity."

Parents Defending Education (definitely right-wing/Koch associates) had an exec member on the TJ PTA and coordinated to install a new president.

Read any of the many articles about the funding/organization of these groups. Some have been linked here and others are easily available through a google search.

One-there have been links to right wing organizations-it's not a conspiracy theory. Google
Two-You want to hold the board accountable for curriculum, issues with Special Ed, etc? Sure. But the most vocal activists are literally parroting Fox News.

How much Fox News do you watch? Tell us what they are saying over there since you know?

What I know is that fcps is being run by incompetent whackos and McAuliffe proposes to fix academics by shuffling kids around by race and deciding what kind of housing goes where and penalizing school boards that don’t break up neighborhoods to get the right racial mix in schools.

He’s just what the doctor ordered for the board who doesn’t like parents bothering them with their opinions and concerns about their children.

No, I am not voting for Youngkin because this election is about A LOT more than schools. I, personally, don't want Virginia to turn into Texas with it's absurd anti-choice abortion law and partisan redistricting and passing laws making it nearly impossible for minorities to vote.

I cannot believe you people are falling for this "Democrats are trying to ruin education" crap. You must be complete idiots to focus on completely false message.

I care about

- my body and my choice
- my DAUGHTERS' bodies and their choice
- the rights of minorities and women
- abolishing racists and white supremacists
- my children learning about the holocaust, slavery, quality, diversity, and THE TRUTH about what happened in the past and why it happened, not some whitewashed version of history
- protecting the right of EVERYBODY to vote
- keeping my children safe (meaning no guns, especially not in schools)

So, no, losers, not voting for Youngkin

The Governor appoints the The Sec. of Education for Va. One party rule is not good for anyone.

Governor controls the state board of education which is responsible for statewide mandates such as the coming changes in the math curriculum. Governors matter a lot and after 8 straight democratic years, our schools are worse than before McAuliffe and Northam.

I will vote R because the Ds have lost sight of the majority. I agree with most of what PP said s/he is voting for, but I am a moderate and can quite honestly tolerate voting R or D. I do not like where the far left is taking things and trying to shut down any discourse from their agenda.

Most people acknowledge there is crazy on the left and crazy on the R. And every so often each side needs a course correction.

No. Schools are controlled by your local school board. People are stupid.

The problem with you people is that you are completely incapable of any civil discourse because you’re so sure you know it all and have all the answers.

That would be obnoxious under any circumstances, but particularly so since we’ve just witnessed two years of an all-Democratic and mostly hypocritical School Board mismanage FCPS with the complete support of the local Democrats now demanding we vote for McAuliffe.

Nice try, but no. Already crossed party lines and voted for Youngkin. Clean up your act and I might think of voting for a Democrat at the top of the ticket next time.

Yep, there's governor.

And there's the:

VIRGINIA HOUSE OF DELEGATES (2021 election)

I think some people here are unaware/uninformed. "Smart sillies"

Which is also majority democrats. No wonder the state is going down the drain. All the feels moronic Democrats are in charge. And so it’s crap. Reminds me of the national situation. I watched the Simpson’s where Bart gets an elephant. Probably pretty old but the banners at the political tents the elephant visited were very funny. Typical stereotypes— Republicans hate everyone etc. For Democrats it was “Can’t Govern.” Was true then and remains true today.
