Not sure if this should be in the policy forum instead... Anyone here voting for Youngkin because of

Pp here. That episode was from 1994. The other banner for Democrats was “We hate life and ourselves.” That is so true to. I mean the abortion obsession for one but then all the self loathing promoted today. So many dizzy white moms talking about white privileged. Barf! Just get in with your day and be a good person.

That seems likely. Lol.

Please go the Twitter feed of Replace FCPS School Board (Open FCPS) and tell me that it hasn't been completely taken over by right wing folks.

Apparently, "right wing = anyone I disagree with." Unreal.

DP. I just went and looked and 75%+ of the tweets & retweets were right-wing.

So, in this case, right wing = right wing. The LCPS versions of that group is 100% right wing.

I WILL be hoping/campaigning for any SB candidate I think can stop the echo chamber and is sane (no, not you Elizabeth Schultz). We need a better Health Department head, a better superintendent, a more moderate school board, and a Board of Supervisors ready to clean house. None of those things can be fixed by the Governor. I don’t think the answer to our issues is to elect someone with zero experience working with the legislature/Department of Education.

The governor plays an important roll in education in Virginia based off who they appoint to run the department of education.

I think you are the same person agreeing with yourself. Parents tend to be a bit more thoughtful.

This is not smart. You will regret voting for Governor on one issue that can be addressed in different ways . Unless you dislike democracy?

This thread reads like it is just one or two blue virginia people talking to themselves.

Well look up Atif Qarni and his priorities. McAuliffe will likely keep it.

Every time I hear him talk about education he goes straight to masks and vaccine mandates which are public health policies. I have yet to hear him address actual education policies aside from COVID related public health issues.

He plans to enact statewide teacher raises for public school teachers.

These threads have to be started by mostly trolls, rights? The 5 days in school was signed into action in VA and received bipartisan support. All of the representatives in Fairfax County voted FOR IT! They have NOTHING to do with the FCPS SCHOOL BOARD.

In brief, if you think schools are better than before, vote McAuliffe. If you think they are worse, a vote for Mcauliffe is a vote for a continuation of the policies that are in place today which for a lot of people seems to be off track. I’m moderate. I have voted both sides. My left leaning friend asked me. I said this time it will be Youngkin because I am very unhappy with where schools are and are going locally and at the state level. It never occurred to her that voting for McAuliffe was sending a message that she approves of the schools. And she doesn’t so she is reconsidering.

We also talked about the bond question. I said this would be the first time I am not going to vote for it. FCPS gets 50 cents of every county tax dollar. They are paying 7 million yearly in interest on outstanding bonds. They need to stop borrowing and start making due with the very generous budget they get. Time to rein in the frivolous and focus on the essential. So for me, in 23 years of living here, I will vote no on a bond for the first time.

Not trolls. See the recent thread in Website Feedback forum. There are just a lot of people who are fed up with Democrat leadership — top to bottom.

McAuliffe will take a more hands on approach and for one thing, will be fixing segregation in our schools with a Chief Integration Officer and an equity council ( I forget the exact name but it’s on his website) that will force the issue. Schools won’t be accredited without the right amount of diversity, funding will be withheld and there will be state led efforts to diversify housing.

No one has to fear losing an election because of boundaries or any other issue. With the state directing it all, a loud obnoxious parents won’t make any difference at all.

This is a troll post, right?

Please say this is a troll post. Please?

This is not a troll post.

It was on Terry's website, along with bussing, until he took it down over the summer.

This is huge. Democrats haven’t made this a priority. It should have been while they were in charge for 8 years but it wasn’t.

Ah, yet your version of “THE TRUTH” to be taught is every bit as one-sided as the antiquated version from the past you seek to retire permanently. And you will only protect the rights of women and minorities if they subscribe to the right views; if they do not, you’ll repudiate them in a quick second.

You people scare me - you are like a bunch of Bolsheviks or Pol Pot followers.
