The NY Times had a good article on Krysten Sinema's fashion. It's behind a paywall, but maybe it will allow an image.

I just don't understand what she's is trying to convey with the clothes she picks other than "I like bright/shiny things."

I feel like she thinks she is an extra on the set of Mad Men.

Stop that this instant. The clothes on Mad Men were on point!

She reminds me of Rita Skeeter here.
But seriously, it is odd how much her body size seems to change from picture to picture. If you do a google image search, it looks like 20 different people who might be related.

Sinema has a fabulous figure, especially her arms. I can’t believe she dresses like such trash.

She gets a lot of $$$ for what she is doing and all her outfits are high end designer clothes.

Dislike Sinema and some of her outfits are so ugly but I quite like that she’s taking fashion risks while serving in the Senate.

She’s said in several interviews that she uses Rent the Runway.

I used to use Rent the Runway and none of the work clothes looked that good. That’s why I stopped.

I don’t think “denim vest” is a risk that needs to be undertaken by anyone other than a trucker.

I don't know if this is "apolitical" -- but it's not overtly partisan, and it's smart as all get out: Why We Should Talk About What Kyrsten Sinema Is Wearing

Even though I don't care for her choices, and I'm surprised she's been allowed to get away with some of these choices given how conservative the Hill is when it comes to clothes, I appreciate that she clearly wears what she wants. It seems like she's wearing what makes her feel strong and powerful, and I respect that.

OP here. It doesn’t target her because of her politics, so I would say it it’s apolitical.

Her clothes have become less a maverick’s (in her mind, anyway) expression and more of a teenaged-level stupid rebellion, as if she’s trying to see what she can get away with. The bright colors were one thing and I think that’s something that is an appropriate shake-up of the traditional “if it looks like a man would wear it, it’s business appropriate,” but the short skirts, the denim… they really bespeak a person who is giving a middle finger to everyone.
