The apolitical clothing thread of politicians

+1 I’m actually surprised she was let onto the Senate floor dressed like a biker.

I legit like Sen. Murkowski’s leopard print dress and pearls combo. Outré, yet work appropriate. Does anyone have an ID?

And I’m loving the juxtaposition of the vermillion dress and turquoise beads on whoever that is (and I know I should know who that is).

I think you have the Senator mislabeled. Murkowski has brown hair not blonde.

DP. Nope, that’s her in the leopard dress. She’s lightened her hair.

Yeah, that's bad. But I give her props for marching to a very different beat... and maybe helping some staffers get away from always wearing suits.

I’m the OP of this thread and I couldn’t remember what I called it to search for it. I saw that denim vest yesterday and was completely appalled. That outfit is beneath the dignity of the office and I, too, couldn’t believe she was allowed to go on the floor in it.

I think that we need to get back to suits. We should certainly still be dressing with respect for the office that we hold.

OP, I love the idea of this thread, but I fear that its doomed to failure. The politician fashion threads here have always been a proxy for dems/liberals good, repubs/conservatives bad message.

Sinema is a Democrat (as am I FWIW) and is being excoriated (rightfully so IMO) here. If anything is political, just report it and Jeff will delete. That’s what I did in the Trump fashion thread.

I don’t recall her looking well dressed her first year in office. But she looks great here!

I’ve never seen a necklace like this. This would always be askew on me.

Three necklaces in one! One light grey, one dark grey and one dual colored!

The NY Times had a good article on Krysten Sinema's fashion. It's behind a paywall, but maybe it will allow an image.

I just don't understand what she's is trying to convey with the clothes she picks other than "I like bright/shiny things."
