Why do you ask? And why not give your opinion or use critical thinking skills?
I'm just curious my current newborn is adorable[/quote

Why didn't you say you had a newborn? Why does it matter that you need others to validate that your baby is cute? She is cute to you. Isn't that enough? With so much going on this has to be one of the last things I would think about!

I mean, I thought it was an interesting topic. Clearly others did too!

"White ones?" How racist t of you! Imagine if someone said about Black, Hispanic or Asian babies!

Stop with the race baiting. Some babies are cute ( all ethnicities) and some babies are not ( all ethnicities)

You must have a limited definition of "interesting".

No. My first thought on seeing my newborn was “she’s so ugly.” Face like a hatchet. She’s stunning now.

None are cute. Not yours not mine. I’ve never seen a cute newborn.

My first one was. My second....lets just say he had to grow into his face a little. But they were both adorable babies and are handsome kids.

My mom has a clear memory of going to see my brother in the nursery at the hospital, and thinking "Wow - I really feel bad for all these other parents that their babies were born at the same time as Larlo, because he's just SOO much cuter than all the other babies!! He makes them all look so ugly! Those poor moms!"

And then thinking:

"Waaaaait a minute. Maybe they are thinking the same thing?"

Evolution is strong.

I mean I'm looking at my newborn right now and she's absolutely beautiful with her teeny tiny little itsy bitsiness.

But didn't think my friend's newborns were cute. So I was wondering. I don't need validation my baby is cute, i know she is. I wonder if my husband really thinks she's cute or is just pretending to make me hapoy, lol

I'm with you, OP! And fwiw I think it's a fascinating topic. It's really phenomenal how evolution, perception, genetics, survival, dependency, and all the rest intersect.

I've never seen one.

Some are. My oldest was a gorgeous newborn and looked like a doll as soon as he came out.

My youngest, however, looked like a wrinkly little gnome and didn't get cute until about 3 months old (grew into her nose, lol)

+1

OP thinks her baby is cute, but everyone else thinks the baby looks like Winston Churchill or a cranky potato or an alien. And that's fine.
