Are newborns cute?

I think they look like space aliens. But they are cute after a few months.

I like their teeny tiny fingers and toes and ears

Depends on how much oxytocin is running through your system.

No, but now at 4 month she’s really cute.

I just consulted my photos and still think both of mine were gorgeous. I think that they had hair helps, also hormones. I don’t think newborns as a whole are that cute...they all just look to similar to really be interesting. Except mine of course.

No not really.

Some definitely are beautiful. Generally c-section, larger babies.

Mine weren’t. One looked like Alfred Hitchcock and the other like Piglet from Winnie the Pooh. But my friend’s baby was born gorgeous (csection - no vaginal smush) and her parents are gorgeous.

DH actually screamed, “what’s wrong with my baby’s head!!” seconds after he was born. Later when I was nursing the baby, I said how beautiful he was and DH asked, “Who?”.

I thought he was beautiful. DH was mortified.

But DS turned out great! Now, DH knows he’s gorgeous.

My daughter was beautiful. She really was. We are not white and she had the most perfect little face and perfect skin and pretty black hair.

My son was distinctly paler and looked like my mother in law.

Why do you ask? And why not give your opinion or use critical thinking skills?

Only to their mothers. Around three months they cute up. But don't be lulled into a false sense of pride - sometimes the cutest babies turn into the ugliest kids. And some babies do the opposite.

My friend gave birth to a baby that looked Chinese. My friend and her husband are blonde/blue eyed white people. By about six months their baby didn't look Asian anymore.

I'm just curious my current newborn is adorable

White ones usually aren’t until they chunk up again.

My son was objectively kind of ugly cute he was born scrawny and looked like a grumpy old man. Then he turned into a cute chubby baby

Mine was not cute. She was premature and all scraggly skin and bones under 6 pounds. She got cute around the seven or eight week mark when she was bigger. She also did not resemble me at all and I was surprised. I have dark features compared to my husband who has very light skin, hair, and eyes and I thought for sure I would have the dominant genes. So wrong!
