Yes, but in a very specific, newborn way.
I have always found my DD adorable, but admittedly she is much more "cute" when I look at her now (at 4) than when I look at photos from when she was a newborn. There's just less to see. They have those squished up face and often their skin is a mess. They also tend to all look the same and it's not until 3 months or so that you can really tell babies apart in a more meaningful way. |
| only if you look through the lens of motherhood |
| Yours are, depending on the person and relationship, your family members’ and friends’ babies may be as well. |
| As cute as a knee. |

Mine was
Sometimes newborns aren’t But if you’re their mom, then of course |

Sometimes. I think non white infants are the cutest. I can’t explain but they’re just so much prettier than white babies. Better lips and eyelashes and usually have hair My (white) babies were so ugly.
In my opinion 3-6 month is peak cuteness. That’s when they’re chubby and adorable. My newborns were unrecognizable from their later photos. |
It’s probably just that you are more familiar with what normal white people skin looks like than what normal POC skin looks like, so the mottled look newborns have is more obvious to you on white babies. |
| Nope. Cranky potatoes until 12 months or so. |
| I had the most beautiful newborn ever! Until I look at the pictures recently (4 years later), yeah, not so much. Not an ugly newborn, but not great. |
| Both of mine looked like aliens. |
DP. I’m not East Asian, but their babies are generally cuter. Specially the multiracial ones(any mix). |
| If you think Naked mole rats are cute, yes. |
I actually see lots of infants in my line of work. Babies of color are just nicer looking. I do think white babies often look mottled. Mine were covered in pink spots over their foreheads and eyelids. Also bald. |
| They all look like Winston Churchill. |
