Ha! This was my son too. |
| My poor kiddo was stuck in the birth canal for a while. Her head looked a little squished until a couple of weeks in when everything plumped up. |
| It's really weird how much validation OP seems to want for her newborn, among all the newborns in the world, to be cute. Like, why does it matter? Would you love your baby more if other people also agreed she was cute? |
It's so fascinating. I don't think it's weird. |
Agree! I thought 100% my newborn was the most beautiful child on the planet. Looking back at those photos... let's just say it took a few months to get cute. Back then I basically looked at the baby and marveled! Super fascinating!

| I don't care if they are cute or not, their heads smell wonderful!! I love the smell of a newborn's head, I take a big sniff whenever I have the opportunity to hold a newborn. There's nothing like it. |
| Nope and ive had 2. They get cute around 9-12 weeks in my opinion. Until then they are sweet snd smell nice but are only attractive to their parents/grandparents. |

I have seen some gorgeous newborns. Not all of them, but I have seen babies that I'm like, wow that's a beautiful baby!
Of course I think mine were cute. My older son was a very good looking newborn, but he was also 9.10lbs at birth so he wasn't at all scrawny or alien-like, had a lot of hair, he looked more like a 2 or 3 month old. It was when he actually was 2 or 3 months and got bad baby acne, one big roll for a neck, and just puked everywhere that he was NOT cute! Then he went back to really cute. My younger son was objectively less cute as a newborn but was cuter as an infant than his brother because he didn't get baby acne as bad. He was balder and less-smiley, too. |

I think newborns are so cute. I could stare at them all day. They don't have to be related to me. In fact, at this point, I'd rather they weren't since I'm done with diapers and breastfeeding. I just like to look at them, and if there isn't a pandemic and you let me hold them I'll be even happier.
I also think English Bulldogs and baby salamanders are cute. Cute and beautiful are two entirely different things. I'll also say that while I am the mother of the three most wonderful children that ever lived, I don't think they were any cuter as newborns than any other babies. I can acknowledge that my African American friends' babies were beautiful AND cute as newborns, while mine were more like the aforementioned bulldogs. |
| Generally I don't think newborns are cute, but one of mine was a very cute newborn with hair, a cherub mouth, and chubby cheeks. My other was a tiny preemie and it took about 4 months for him to fill out and get cuter. |

Usually no.
My oldest was beautiful and the doctors in the hospital said so too. But she would give these side looks and has always been naturally suspicious and can be standoffish. My second was not a cute newborn and had a big bruise on her cheek that looked like a birthmark but disappeared after 4 days. They also showed her to me still covered in white slimy stuff (c-section baby) and I was not impressed. But she’s cuter now at 6 months and has a very open and charming personality. |
| 7 months old is the cute stage. |
| I love love love the newborn stage. I think they are so precious and adorable. BUT I think a lot of this is how delicate and soft and sleepy and cuddly they are. Once they are older they are cute in a different way. |
