At least he was allowed to resign. But he will be replaced by the loyalist extremist Tata.

I used to work with Tata. I would never have guessed he was this crazy.

People would have to listen or read for this to have any effect.

The GOP has correctly figured out that outside of the Beltway people really don't care.

Trump is selling arms to the UAE. Is this part of his plan? Will he get kickbacks from the sale?

Is that what is being put forth in this thread?

The troops won't do it. Do that's moot.

Lol like you know?????

The one I’m married to won’t. Many of his colleagues won’t either.

Someone I know who works at the Pentagon now says she never would have guessed it either. But also doesn't think he has the chops for this promotion.

Then how do you explain what they did to the peaceful protesters in BLM Plaza? They all assumed there was a good reason for the orders they were given even though their own eyes saw no threat. They blindly followed orders.

The service members I know wouldn’t either.

The learned from that. That's the explanation.

Too obvious?

He's angry and exacting vengeance against perceived enemies makes him feel better right now. He may be installing loyalists in the unlikely event legal challenges somehow manage to overturn the election results, but nobody really thinks that will happen. If it did, and Americans revolted, he'd have everything in place to tamp it down. But, again, noone really thinks any of this will actually come to pass.

This sounds about right to me. And according to a PP might be as much about Afghanistan policy as anything domestic.

I thought that was the Park Police and the DC National Guard whose helicopter pilot went rogue. Which reminds me I haven’t seen that report.

I believe it was Park Police and some Arlington County cops on loan. The Arlington cops were the ones hitting the Australian journalist in the head IIRC. So, cops, not military.
