It's not as controversial as defund the police. So the media does not really care.

The media is owned by people who benefit immensely from fascism. The media does not care. The media just wants more money.

They’re risking make people who are already “poor” hate money’s power when unequally distributed because of their obsession with it at the expense of security. They’re worried about communism and Marxism and all of this crap and they’re being complicit promulgates. Wag the dog and he may turn around and bite your hand off.

Can Tata command troops to support Trump in a coup of force?

Is that what is being put forth in this thread?

It seems to me it's no accident that Trump refuses to authorize the transition process while at the same time is installing loyalists in key positions. And his AG has changed a decades-old policy to investigate "voter fraud" before the states certify their elections.

Too obvious?

The troops won't do it. Do that's moot.

It's a simple as the average person isn't familiar with these names or these positions or what role they have in the government, so they wouldn't tune into say, CNN talking about it. Media is a business. What's newsworthy to them is what generates viewers and clicks.

People who can understand and discuss these types of things (myself not included) aren't tuning into Rachel Maddow.

Of course, they will. No one seemed to have any problems dispersing peaceful protestors using force, just a couple of months ago.

Yes, I know, as does anyone paying attention. The troops are on this, they're prepared to follow legal orders and to disobey illegal orders.

What a miserable CiC we have, to bring our military to this point.

At least he was allowed to resign. But he will be replaced by the loyalist extremist Tata.

He is Bumble.

He's angry and exacting vengeance against perceived enemies makes him feel better right now. He may be installing loyalists in the unlikely event legal challenges somehow manage to overturn the election results, but nobody really thinks that will happen. If it did, and Americans revolted, he'd have everything in place to tamp it down. But, again, noone really thinks any of this will actually come to pass.

Sounds like Trump wants the troops out of Afghanistan now so he can brag he brought them all home. Security situation be damned.

Why would they not do it? I thought a lot of people in the troops were republican.
