I was downtown today. Most (but not all) of the roads are plowed. The ones that are plowed have 1 lane open.
Intersections are a slushy mess. Bring your waders. PP 15:58 could not have said it better @ Faux News. |
I agree with this. They will open in WMATA gets its stuff together. And they've had all day today plus all night to clear out their tracks. I bet we're back at work. Work week: 1 day. Weekend: 3 days. Really, not bad!!! |
| Oh dear God please let it be open, and DC schools, too. I cannot take one more day at home with limited ability to leave the house. Seven in a row is enough. |
| one more day wouldn't hurt....I'm praying for it...please let tomorrow be closed! |
DC Schools were already closed for the professional development day. No luck there. We got a call that the DPR play dates are cancelled due to the weather, so kids are home again with no where to go! They go back on Tuesday. |
| I would rather use leave or take LWOP than be involved in some crazy mishap on METRO. |
| It's wishful thinking to think that the government will be closed tomorrow. My prediction is a one or two hour delay. |
| two hour delay with unscheduled leave. |
| Red line just opened above ground goving towards SS |
then it is official, feds are open. |
|
i vote open, unscheduled leave
thank god i work from home on fridays! |
That's just one line on one form of public transportation, albeit a large one. MARC Train and VRE are also large components as well as another earlier poster mentioned. People come from way north of Baltimore, and from Virginia as well, not just what WMATA (Metro) covers. |
No one cares about the stupid red line |
| Well it should probably be another hour or two before everyone finds out their fate. OPM director John Berry will be convening in another 6 PM teleconference. We've been finding out around 7 PM for the last two days... |
| I will be praying for God to grant his wisdom to John Berry. |
